The Hoard of Aldermen of the Vity of Wichita calls met in
regularly called special meting at 10:00 o'clock Friday Morning
April 17th with the following members present:

ation of the Board of Aldermen of the offers of the United States of America
Federal Works Agency of rederal assistance, in connection with Public Works
described as Inc ket ho. Texas 41-167 and Docket l�o. 'i:exas 41-168.

in behalf of the City of Wichita Fails, Texas, an application for Federal
assistance under the Defense eublic Mrks program, and the United States of
America, acting by and through the Fedeal eorks Administrator, has notified the
City of Wichitara lls of an offer of Federal assistance in connection with the
Public Works referred to in said application and desigrated, Docket lvo. 41-167; and
WHERhAa, said Offer has been duly considered by the board of Alder-
men. in every respect in accordance with the pertinent rules of procedure and
legal requirements; and
wiAS, it is deemed advisable and in the public interest that said
Offer be accepted;
NOW, Thr.REPVRE, be it resolved by the Board of Aldermen of the City
of Wichita Falls, Texas, that said offer of the United States of America be, and the
same is hereby, accepted without reservation or qualification.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, having investigated the qualifications of F. R.
Kugeley, City Engineer, and having confidenm in his ability, do hereby
nominate the said F. R:. Rugeley, as Engineer, to prepare plans, specifica-
tions, and other contrset documents, and to supervise the construction
and improvements of the project for which an allocation of funds have been
made by the War Public �jorks under Docket No. 41-167.
HE IT FUR`ltir`R RESULVED, that the nomination be sent t.o the
Regional Engineer of Federal horks Agency, Region four, Electric Building,
fort Worth, Texas, with the request that the same be approved.

*UREAS, a thorough investigation has been made of the hourly wage I1
rates which are being paid in the City of Wichita falls, Texas, which is the
locality in which the proposed project (hereinafter referred to as "Project")
is to be constructed by the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, to employees in each
trade or occupation engaged in work of a nature similar to the work to be per-
formed in the construction of said Project, and the prevailing hourly wage
rates being paid in such locality to such employees for such work have been
determi.ned by investigation and referred to wage rates being paid on Docket
Texas *1-167, in the City of Wichita Palls, 'Texas, and other informed sources.

paid ow and one-hall' times the basic rate of pay for all hours worked in excess
of seven and one-half hours in any one day, or at any time during the int erval
from Friday midnight to Sunday midnight.
