The Board of Hldermen of the City of u+ichita Falls met in regularly
called special meeting on b`.arch 26th, at 2 o'clock N. b . with the following
present:

b,ayor Fitzgerald announced the purpose of this special meeting to
be the opening and consideration of bids on the Federal Works Agency Defense
Public Mrks Division Docket Texas 41-213 health Center.
Bids submitted were opened and inspected by Defense Public Works
Engineers, who called attention to the fact that the bidders bond of 'Taylor and
howle was not signed by the bidder.
b:.oved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen allow 'Taylor
and Howle to sign bidders bond, accepting their bid on Docket Texas 41-213
before the tabulation of bids.

After the tabulation and reviewing of the bids Voelcker &: Dixon,
Arc`,itects, recommended to the Board of Aldermen that the base bid of 'Taylor and
howle for $29,664.00 be accepted.

the construction of a one story brick veneer health Center Building, andWIL

&LhEAS, the City Council bf the City of Wichita Falls, Texas is of
the opinion that the bid of the 'Taylor &, Howle Company of Wichita Falls is the lowest
and best bid;

$29,664.00 is hereby aceepted.

That the officials of the City of Wichita ral_l.s, upon whom
such duty properl-r rests, shall and they are hereby directed to prepare i
and execute in behalf of the City of Wichita malls all nedessary contracts
and documents thereto.

That this award shall not be effective until the awardee
shall have been notified in writing by the layor of the City of Oichita Falls
of such award.

Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen allow the
use of the Auditorium for the showing of defense moving pictures on iuonday night
March 30th.
