The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular
session at 8:00 o'clock P. t�. in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditoriuft
Building on the above date with the follovdng members present:

The minutes of the regular meeting of March 2nd, were read.
Moved by Alderman Hyer that the minutes of March 2nd, be approved
by the Board of Aldermen as read.
Lotion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried.
Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen hereby order and set
for public hearing proposed Ordinance No. 1337, being an ordinance granting the
Wichita Transit Corporation the right and privilege to maintain and operate motor
buses as a City-wide motor bus transportation system within the City of Wichita
Falls. Said hearing to be held in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium
Building at 6:00 o'clock P. M. March 16th, and March 23rd.

Alderman Wolf, Chairman of the Committee of the Board heretofbre
appointed by the Mayor to negotiate with utilities furnishing gas to the City
of Wichita Falls, for the levying of gross sales tax, made an oral report on
the progress of negotiations. The Yayor continued this committee.

SECTION 1. That Glade Construction Company, Wichita Falls,Texas, has
submitted the lowest and best bid for the- construction of said project.
SECTION 2. That the bid of the said Glade Construction Company of
Wichita Falls, Texas in the amount of the net alternate bid $104,970.97 is here-
by accepted.
SECTION 3. That the officials of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas upon
whom such duty properly devolves shall, and they are hereby directed to prepare
and execute in behalf of said City of V';ichita Falls, 'Texas, all necessary
contracts and documents relating thereto.

City Attorney T. A. Hicks filed a written opinion with the Board of
Aldermen advising that the City had no liability in the claim filed by the S. & M*
Casing Culling Co., Jack Story, Jr. Manager, for alleged damages to his automobile.
City Attorney T. A. Hicks, filed a written opinion dated Larch 7th,
reviewing the claim of Sarah S. Davidson, and advised that the City had no
liability in the claim of Sarah S. Davidson for alleged damages.

est and best bid the bid of noble Hardware Co., for 1 - 22,1 mower for park equipment
at V199.50 less 2yb cash discount.

ion and improvements of a Health Center Project for which an allocation of funds
has been made by the Defense Public Works under Docket ho. Tex. 41-213; and

wage rates which are being paid in the City of Wichita Falls, which is the
locality in which the proposed project is to be constructed by the City
of Wichita Falls, to Xmployees in each trade or occupation engaged in work

said Project, and the prevailing hourly wage rates being paid in such

Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Boa d of Aldermen approve the
street repair on the extension of 9th Street outside of the City Limits
occasioned by the installation of an 8,i water line serving the Army Housing
rroject adjacent to the west City Limits.

Moved by Alderman wolf that the Board of Aldermen disallow the applica-
tion of H. B. Griffiths, 719 Ohio Street for public dance license.

Moved by Alderman hyer that the Board of Aldermen hereby authorize
a necessary expense to be incurred by the eater Department in lowering 2011 water
main, being a part of the line serving Sheppard Field, said expense being necessitated
by reason of the re-location of access road right of way, and charge said expense
to the water main maintenance.

the City Manager to allow the spilling of surplus dirt on an 80 acre plot of
