The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session at 8:00 o'clock P. Y. in the Council Room of the
Yemorial Auditorium Building on the above date uith the following members
present:

The minutes of the regular session of October 20th, and the
recessed meeting of October 22nd, were read.

SECTIOv 1. That Clouse & Mathis of San Antonio, Tex�.s has submitted
the lowest and best biu for the construction of said project.
SECTION 2. That the bid of the said Clouse & ZJ44,this of San Antonio
Texas in the a-mount of the net bid $21,999.13 is hereby accepted.
SECTION 3. That the Officials of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,

upon whom such duty properly devolves shall, and they are hereby
directed to prepare and execute in behalf of said City of Wichita '
Falls, Texas, all necessary contracts and documents relating thereto.

Alderman T'iolf, Chairman of a Special Crmittee appointed by
the 1.ayor to investigate and report on operations and maintenance of
the dog and animal pound, made an oral report recommending certain improve-
ments including feeding, cleaning and quarters.
Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen accept
the report of the special com,:ittee cn operations and maintenance of the
animal and dog pound.

Mayor Fitzgerald called a public hearing set for this date on
the proposed budget for the fiscal period October 1, 1941 to September i

to complete purchase of necessary furniture and fixtures for the new
police station buDding at a total cost not to exceed $500.00.
