Min 10/13/1941 649 Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium, October 13, 1941 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session at 8:00 o'clock P. 11. in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium Building on the above date with the following; members present: W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor J. W. Fitzpatrick, 1 W. Ralph Hyer, i Aldermen Was. 1.'. Williams, 1 Frank Wolf, T. Bryan Miller, City Manager J. H. Crouch, City Clerk Thelbert Martin, Asst, City Attorney The minutes of the regular session October 6th, were read. Moved by Alderman Williams that the minutes of the regular session of October 6th, be approved as read. Motion seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried. Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen accept and approve as the lowest and best bid the bid of P. H. .Lambert & Co. , for the annual audit of the records and account of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas for the year ended September 30, 1941, as set forth in specifications for a fee of $850.00, and annual audit of the records and account of the 'Wichita General Hospital for the year ended September 30, 1941, as set forth in specifications at a fee of $100.00. Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried. Moved by Alderman 'Williams that the Board of Aldermen grant permit to the Sons of the American Legion as Sponsors for the carnival show, Texas Amusement Co. , for the period November 3rd to the 8th inclusive, waiving license fees, permit to issue only upon the waiving of all. objections by the Wichita Falls Independent School District Board. Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried. Bids on plumbing and heating for the new water plant construction project were opened and tabulated as follc-ws: PLTJMBINU - J. F. F. ATunn Plumbing & Heating Co., for j>lunbing the new water plant construction project at $3780.00. Motion seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried. The Board of Aldermen deferred action on bids for heating. Mayor Fitzgerald appointed a committee of the Board, Aldermen Fitzpatrick, Wolf and Hyer, to investigate the management, direction and operation of the City Animal Pound and bring a written report with recommendations. Mayor Fitzgerald,with the consent of the Board of Aldermen, set October 27, 1941 at 8 o'clock P. i . in the Council Chamber of the Memorial Auditorium for public hearing on the annual budget proposed for the fiscal year October 1, 1941, - September 30, 1942. Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen authorize purchase of a 1940 Cheverolet Pick-up at a net purchase price of $375.00 for the use of the City Animal Pound. Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried. Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen adjourn. Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
