to Highvaay No. 277 and lying between Highway No. 277 and site of Sheppard
Field.

claim of Yr. Tiglman for alledged damages to automobile advising
no liability. Additional evidence was presented to the Board in
this claim for $39.50.
Moved by Alderman Fitzpatrick that the Board of Alderman
allow and order paid to Yr. Tiglman damages in the amount of $34.50.

an application for Federal assistance under the Defense Public Works program,
and the United States of America, acting by and through the Federal Works
Administrator, has transmitted to the Owner an Offer of Federal assistance
in connection with the public works referred to in said application and
described in said Offer; and

BE IS RESOLVED, that the Board of Alderman of the City of
Wichita Falls, of Wichita Uounty, Texas, having investigated the
qualifications of F. Y. Rugeley, City Engineer, of the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, and having confidence in his ability, do hereby nominate
the said F. Y. Rugeley, City Engineer, as Engineer, to prepare plans,
specifications and other contract documents, and to supervise the
construction and improverients of the project for which an allocation
Iof funds has been made by the Defense Public Works un Docket No.
Texas 41-121.
HE IT FUR TH2 RESOLVED, that this nomination be sent to the
Regional Director, Defense Public Works, Region 8, Electric Building,
Fort Worth, Texas, with the request that the same be approved.

Wf0ZEAS, a thorough investigation has been made of the hourly wage
rates which are being paid in the vicinity of Wichita Falls, Texas, which
is the locality in which the proposed project (hereinafter referred to as
"Project") is to be constructed by the amity of Wichita Falls, Texas, to
Employees in each trade or occupation engaged in work of a nature similar to
the work to be performed in the construction of said Project, and the prevail-
ing hourly wage rates being paid in such locality to such employees for such
work have been determined b;r consulting Local Unions Yorks Projects Adminis-
tration and these are the wages being paid by the Oity of Wichita Falls on the
construction of a water filter plant now under construction.

NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, that the following rates for the respective trades
E or occupations listed below shall be and are hereby fixed as the minimum
hourly wage rates and have been determined in accordance with rates pre-
vailing for work of a similar nature in the locality in which the project is to
be constructed.

of the United States of America, Federal Works Agency, vefense vublicYbrks
Division, Docket No. Texas 41-121 llPW Form no. 100 dated September 24, 1941,
in order to aid in financing the construction of Defense Public Work, estimated
to cost $24,850.00, consisting of extension and improvements to the Sanitary
Sewage System, including acquisition of necessary land; and
Vn2REAS, under the terms of this Offer the City of Wichita Falls is
required to provide for 10110 of the estimated cost of said construction and
deposit all funds however provided for payment of said cost in a separate
fund, or account, to be known as CCNSTRUCTION ACCOUNT.

are hereby authorized and instructed to create a fund in the City

Said amount of $2485.00 being 10% of the offer made by the United States
