Min 09/22/1941 636 Wichita Falls, Texas September 22, 1941 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session at 8:00 o'clock P. V. in the Council Hoom of the Memorial Auditorium Building on the above date with the following members present: 'ff. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor S. W. Fitzpatrick, � W. Ralph Flyer, Aldermen V. E. Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the minutes of the regular session of September 15th be approved as read. Motion seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried. The petition of Mathis & Cal dwe11, Attorneys for C. D. Shamburger,Sr and C. 1). Shamburger, 'Jr, requesting the Board of Aldermen to consider the reopening of Morrow Street adjacent to Block 3; said street having been previously closed by Ordinance No. 1304, was heard. Action in this matter was deferred. ORDINANCE NO. 1329 ` AN CRDINANCE REGULATING TRAILER COACH PARKING AND TRAILER PARKS IN TIM CLTY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF AND DECLARING AN L1ITERGENCY. Moved by Alderman Stampfli that Ordinance No. 1329 be passed on its third and final reading, and approved as read. Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried with the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen, Fitzpatrick, Flyer, Stampfli and Williams. Nays: None. Kemp Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, being a small triangular area situated on Scott Street adjacent to Highway No. 5, for the cash consideration of $50.00. Motion seconded by Alderma Fitzpatrick and carried. 4 Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen authorize the construction of additional permanent improvements to the City and County building on Ohio Avenue, for the purpose of equipping said build- ing for Government Relief AFeneies etc.at a cost of $546.70, said cost to ' be borne by the City of Wichita Falls and Wichita County. Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried. I Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen authorize Mayor W. D. Fitzgerald to execute for, and on behalf, of the City of ! Fox, and authorize issuance of chauffeur's license to Don A. Fox, effective this date. Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried. Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen accept and approve the lovaest and best bid, the bid of the United States Cast Iron & Foundry Co., of $11,861.54 for various pipes and fittings in the construction of the water plant. Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried. Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen refer to j the City Attorney for tax suits list of tax accounts dated September 1 22, 1941, attached hereto and made a part hereof. Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried. Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen grant chauffeur's license to Cozell W. Yusler. Motion seennded by Alderman Hyer and carried. r I Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen order issuance of special permit for the erection of standard filling station sign to the Panhandle Refining Co., located on the Burk Road and Lincoln Street. Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried. Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen authorize t the advertising for bids of the annual audit for the City of Wichita Falls, for the period ending September 30, 1941. r i Motion seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried. Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Alde~men authorize City Manager, J. Bryan Miller, to advertise for bids on eight i automobiles for the Police Department. Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried. R"oved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen authorize and order adjustment of personal and property taxes and settlement of same as s set out in the following schedule.
