Min 08/19/1941 616 Wichita Falls, Texas August 19, 1941 Memorial Auditorium The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regularly called session at 10:00 o'clock A. M. in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium on the above mentioned date, wlt h the following menbers present: 1 1 W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor V. E. Stampfli, Frank Wolf, Aldermen Tas, M. Williams, ! i T. Bryan Miller, City Manager Mayor Fitzgerald announced the purpose of this meeting to be the opening of bids on doors, valves, venturi meters and recorders for the construction of the new mater filteration plant. Waereupon, bids were opened, read and tabulated by the consulting engineer. Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen accept the bid of the Rensselaer Valve Co. , as the lowest and best bid on 27 various size valves for the new water filteration plant, at a total bid price of $10,965.05. Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried. Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen accept as the lowest and best bid the bid of the Otis Elevator Co., on an elevator for the new water filteration plant at the net bid of $3545.00. Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried. Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen accept as the lowest and best bid the bid of Sohn Oechsner Elec Co., on wiring for the new water filteration plant at a net bid of $5275.01. Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried. i Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board cf Aldermen accept as the lowest and best bid the aternate bid of S. A. Ellsberry Co., for windows for the new water filteration plant at a bid of $1705,00. Motion seconded by Alderman Vblf and carried. Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen accept as the lowest and best bid the bid of Builders Planing ItRill on wooden doors for the new water filteration plant at a bid of $894.10.
