The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regularly .wed session at 8:00 o'clock in the Council Room of the
Memorial Auditorium Building on the above date with the following members
present:

The minutes of the last regular meeting of August 4th, were read.
Moved by Alderman Naylor that the minutes of the regular meeting Cf
August 4th, be approved as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried.

4 Analysis of bids for new water pipe line 6" valves by the City
Manager were reported to the Board of Aldermen.
Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen accept as
the lowest and best bid the bid of N. 0. Nelson Co., for 6 - 6" Vogt Bros.,
valves ;26.30 each, and 2 - 8" Vogt Bros. , valves at $39.75 each, less 2%,
10 days delivery.

purchase of a Burroughs Adding Machine Company's billing machine for rater
collection department at $2248,20,

A duly advertised public hearing for regular council meeting
September 8th on Ordinance No. 1328, being an ordim nce providiigfor the
extension of the Texas Electric Service Co. , franchise was called by the
j Mayor. No discussion either from the floor or by the Board of Aldermen was
heard.

T. E. Watson appeared before the Board of Aldermen alleging
damages on account of construction of underpass knom as Lincoln Street
Underpass. This ma-",ter was referred to the City Attorney for investigation.

Moved by Alderman Naylor that the Board of Aldermen approve addi-
tional expenditure in the amount of $42.00 for the construction of Jail bunks
on M. E. F,hitehill Construction Co., contract for the new police station.

Moved by Alderman Flyer that the Board of Aldermen grant
the application of the Veterans of ,Foreign Wars to sponsor Harley Sadler
shows for the week beginning August 25th, waiving license fees.
Motion seconded by Alderman WiL iams and carried.
Moved by Alderman Fitzpatrick that the Board of Alder-
men approve payment of $2175,53 to Wichita General Hospital on payment of
like amount by Wichita County.

The Board of Aldermen then adjourned until the regular
