Min 07/28/1941 618 Memorial Auditoriums Wi chi to Falls, Texas July 28, 1941 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita malls met in regularly called session at 8:00 o'clock P. M. in the Council zoom of the Memorial Auditorium Building on the above date with the fallowing members present : W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor w. Ralph Hyer,, V. E. : 'Stampfli, ! Jas. M. Williams, i Aldermen Frank Wolf, ! J. Bryan Miller, City Manager J. H. Crouch, City Clerk T. A. Hicks, City Attcrney The minutes of the regular meeting of July 21st were read. Moved by Alderman Williams that the minutes of tie regular meeting of July 21st, be approved as read. Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried. Bids authorized under, the terms of Ordinance No. 1326 for Collection and Disposal of Trr:sh and Garbage fcr the City of Wichita Falls were opened and read. The following bids were reported after tabulation and analysis: r C. E. Norris, Bid deposit none. Net Bid :$11,645 per month F. T. Tipps " r " " 9,205 " n L. B. Greene " " f15,000 " '! 6,125 Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen accept as the lowest and best bird the bid of L. B. Greene for the collection and disposal of trash and garbage, and authorize Mayor W. E. Fitzgerald to execute contract for and on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls with L, B. Greene under the terms and conditions of Ordinance No. 1326. Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried. ORDINANCE No. 1328 Ordinance No. 1328 was introduced and read. Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen authorize the construction of approximately 275 feet of 6 inch sewer line on 5th Street adjacent to Riverside Cemetery, and between Denver Street and Van Buren Street, provided said line is laid under authorized W. P. A. Project, and at an estimated cost to the City of g100.00. Motion seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried. ORDINANCE NO. 1327 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 792, PASSED AND APPROVED THE 12TH DAY OF DULY, A. D. 1926, ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE CRATING A SPECIAL POLICE :LIEF FUND, PROVIDING FOR ITS ADIIIINISTRXITON, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Moved by Alderman Stampfli that Ordinance No. 1327 be passed on its third and final reading and be approved as read. Motion seconded by Alderman wolf and carried with the follovd ng vote: Yeas: Aldermen Stampfli, Williams, wolf and Hysr. Nays: None. Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen authorize issuance of the following chauffeur's license: Raymond Holland, Truman Castleberry and Charles Brice. Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried. Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen adjourn. Motion seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
