regularly called session at 8:00 o'clock P. Y. in the Council zoom of The
Memorial Auditorium Building on the above date with the following members

The minutes of the regular meeting of July 7th, were read.
Moved by Alderman Williams that the minutes of the regular meeting
of July 7th, be approved as read.

Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen instruct the
City Manager to arrange for the installation of 11 additional street lights
in the negro section.
Motion seconded by alderman Hyer and carried.
A committee of the Wichita County kennel Club requested the Board
i of Aldermen to consider the passing of an ordinance for the protection or dumb
i animals against inhumane and cruel treatment.

Fred Holmberg, Operator of the 3333 'Taxicab Co., requested the
Board of Aldermen to act upon his application for a certificate of Public Necessity
and Uonvenience allowing the operation of at least two additional taxicabs[.
Mayor Fitzgerald set this request for a hearing by the Board of
Aldermen at the regular meeting of July 21st, and instructed that alltaxicab
companies be notified of said hearing.

Moved by Alderman Naylor that the Board of Aldermen instruct that
a special permit issue to the Central Seed & Feed Store, allowing the location of
two gasoline pumps at 410 Indiana Avenue. Said pumps to be located between the
j curb line and property line. Installation to be made under the supervision of the
City Engineer.
