Memorial Auditorium,
June 20, 1941
The Board or Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular-
ly called session on the above date at 10:30 o'clock A. M. in the Council
Room of the Memorial Auditorium, with the following members present:
W. E, Fitzgerald, Mayor
W. Ralph Hyer,
v. F. Stampfli, 4 Aldermen
J as. M. 'Williams, 1

J. Bryan Miller, City Manager
1. II. Crouch, City Clerk
Mayor Fitzgerald announced the purpose of the meeting to be the opening
of bids on various material and supplies for Water Improvement and equipment
for the Park and Street Departments. All bids received on centrifugal cast
iron pipe and fittings were opened and read.
Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen accept the bid of
the Morrison Supply Co. , as the lowest and best bid on 8" valves at ;24.00 each;
On 4" valves at ;14.40.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried.
Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen accept the bid
of the United States Pipe & Foundry Co., as the lowest and best bid on centrifu-
gal cast iron pipe and various fittings.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried.
Bids on Street equipment were opened and read.
Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen accept the bid
of Benson-Shaw Equipment Co., as the lowest and best bid for two model W. Speed
Patrols equipped as set out in their bid, and to include one mowing blade at a
total net bid of ;3300.00.
Motion seconded by Alderman wolf and carried.
Bids on motor equipment for the Park Department were opened and read.
Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen accept the bid of
McCormick-Deering Store, Wichita Falls, as the lowest and best bid for one tractor
power mower at a net bid of ;663.85.
Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried.
Moved by Alderman Stamnfli that the Board of Aldermen adjourn.
