Min 05/26/1941 (2) 579 Wichita Falls, 'Texas Memorial Auditorium, May 26, 1941 The Board of Aldermen met in regular session in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium on the above date at 8:00 o'clock P. M. with the following members present: W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor j . W. Fitzpatrick, � W. Ralph Hyer, H. J . Naylor, t Aldermen V. E. Stampfli, 1 Jas. Y. Williams, T. Bryan Miller, City Manager J . H. Crouch, City Clerk T. A. Hicks, City Attorney The minutes of the regular meeting of May 19th, were read. Moved by Alderman Fitzpatrick that the minutes of the regular meeting of May 19th, be approved as read. Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried. The City Manager reported to the Council the location of parking meter spaces where meters are not installed in parking meter zones established in the oYdinance governing. Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby rescind the acceptance and approval of the dedication of the w. E. Wilson Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, out of a 13 1/2 acre tract out of 5. Y. x. R. Co. , Survey No. 1, Certificate No. 16-157, Abstract No. 281, bounded by the north of Highland Addition on the East by 'Taft Street and on the South by the Wichita .alley Railway, under date of May 19, 1941. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried. - - - - - - - - - - b5ullington, Humphrey & Humphrey, Attorneys for landemners in Wichita County Irrigation District No. 1, filed a petition with the Board of Aldermen requesting the Board to re-consider its previous action in refusing to permit water to be used from Lake Wichita for irrigation purposes from and after November 15, 1940, and requesting that they be allowed to use said hater for irrigation purposes. Residents living in the vicinity of Lots 7 and 8, Block 103 Floral Heights Addition and Lots 7 & 8, Block B Floral Heights Second Addition, filed a petition with the Board of Aldermen requesting the City's cooperation in controlling the establishment of storage houses ° for grain, feed or poultry at these locations. - - - - - - - - - - i Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen hereby approve and order refund of 4668,16 to Huff, Mytinger & 'talker, due under 7 1 580 water reimbursement contract for the revenue year ending 1941. Motion seconded by Alderman ritzpatrick and carried. Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen order the replacement of one street light on Clarinda between Taft and Martin Streets. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried. Moved by Alderman Naylor that the Board of Aldermen approve issuance of chauffeur's license to Walter T. Brandon, Larry M. Mundy I and vernon Marshall. k Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried. i a i Moved by Alderman 'Williams that the Board of Aldermen approve extra items recommended by architects to the M. E. Whitwhill Construction Co;q contract for the Police Station Building, as follows: Item No. 1 - raising ceiling over Radio Room :F138.48. Item No. z - Storeroom over closet space 430.45. Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried. Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen approve the payment of fees to Voelcker & Dixon in the sum of $391.96, Police Station Building. Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried. Moved by Alderman Naylor that the Board of Aldermen hereby authorize and order the transfer of ;709000 from the Water Fund to the Sinking Fund Account for the retirement of maturities June 1, 1941 City of Wichita Falls Refunding Bonds Series 1940. Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried. Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen authorize and order adjustment of personal and property taxes and settlement of same as set out in the following schedules, one dated May 12th, 19419 and the other May 26, lv41.
