j The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, on
cal_1. of the Mayor, met in special called session at 12:30 P. 1. on
the above date with the followinfi members present:

The Mayor announced this special meeting to be for the purpose
of considering anv matters incident to comrletion of any necessary require-
ments of the Government of the United S+ates of America relating to the
Vdichita Falls Municinal Airport, the Air Technical Training School and
related matters.
R E S O L U T I O N
THAT XTEREAS, on February 1, A. D. 1941, the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, a Municinal Corpnration, entered into a certain lease contract with the
United St=,tes of America, whereby it leased a certain tract of land, buildings
improvements and arpurtenancPs thereto bel-ngin , situated in Wichita County,
State of Texas, and containing 604 acres of land, more or less, said ground being
a plot of ground adjacent to Kell Airport and particularl,r described in said
lease contract, and
VJFEAS, in addition to the 1<:nds described in said contract it has
become necessary for the Ci.t,v of Wichita Falls to acquire land for a spur rail-
ro-d r1ght-nf-v7aN7 to the Air Corre Technical site, and

been unable to secure for the reason that the County Clerk did not feel justi-
fied to make such certificate, and
MIERE.AS, the United States of America has renuested in lieu of
the certificate from the Courtv Clerk aresoluti.on from the Beard of Aldermen
of the Citv of Wichita Fa0.1 s irdemnifvin�y and keening harmless the United
States Government from any and all damages of any kind and. character by
said ris^ht-�nf-jksv and eonstructin- a railroad tract
virtue of their going agog
