The Board of Aldermen met in regular session on the above date
at 8:00 o'clock P. M. in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium
with the following members present:

The minutes of the regular meeting of March 17th, were read.
Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the minutes of March 17th be
approved as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried.
I Moved by Alderman Fitzpatrick that the Board of Aldermen accept and
approve the report of the comr._ittee recommending the issuance of a temporary
permit for the installation of an air conditioning unit on the concrete
awning of the Fox-Randel Motor Co., building.
I Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried.

Application of the Wichita Transit Corporation dated February 17, 1941
for designation of roues under their franchise, and an application from
Roscoe Staton and associates, petitioning the Board of Aldermen for a permit,
or franchise, to operate bus lines were read in full by the Clerk. These
petitions were discussed and opposed by an attorney representing Bullington
and Cahoon.
Mayor Fitzgerald appointed a committee composed of Alderman Stampfli,
Chairman and Alderman Naylor and We -f to report on the preservation of the
old Fire Alarm Bell.

AND DEFINING PARKING tTTER ZONES IN THE aTY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS; PROVIDING
FOR THE INSTALLATION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF MECHANICAL DEVICES TO REGULATE
PARKING IN SAID PARKING METER ZONES; PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF REGULATORY
AND INSPECTION FEES FOR THE USE OF SUCH DEVICES; PROVIDING FOR THE DEPOSIT OF

VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE, AND REPEALING All,
ORDINANCES AND PARTS CF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT 'HEREWITH.
Moved by Alderman Stampfli that Ordinance No. 1318 be passed on
its second reading.
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried with the following
vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Fitzpatrick, Hyer, Naylor, Stampfli and Williams.
Nays: None.
Application dated March 21, 1941 by the Four Three Taxicab Co.,
F. G. Holmberg, Owner, requesting the Board of Aldemen to issue Certifi-
ettes of Public Necessity and Convenience for the operation of tm
additional taxicabs was read.

Mayor Fitzgerald ordered this application accepted and filed,
and hearing thereon set for the regulw meeting of the Board of Aldermen
March 31st. He further ordered all other taxicab companies notified
of the heaving.
Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen grant the
issuance of chauffeurs license to H. 111. Green.
Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried.
Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Wichita Falls hereby accept and approve dedication by W. D. Cline of
a tract cap parcel of land out of the Thomas H. Garner Survey, Abstract
No. 84 more particularly described in said dedication dated the 18th
day of March A.D. 1941, to be known as the McCamp Addition to the City
of Wichita Falls, Texas, map and plat attached hereto and made a part
hereof.

Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen authorize
Mayor W. E. Fitzgerald to sign quit claim deed from the City of Wichita
Falls to Gordon T. West, Lots Numbered 1, 3, 5, 9, 11 and 13 in Block
No. 10, Original Townsite of Wichita Falls, Texas, according to the
recorded map and plat thereof, and quit claim deed from. the City of Wichita
Falls to Frank Kell to Lots No. 2, 4, 8, 10, 12 and 14 in Block No. 10 of
the Original Townsite of Wichita Falls, Texas, according to the map and
plat thereof.
These deeds are dated the 26th day of March A. D. 1941.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried.
With the .consent of the Board of Aldermen Mayor Fitzgerald
appointed a committee to represent the City of Wichita Falls in negotiations
for lands involved in right-of-ways and sites for the Airport improvement
and United States Government Technical Air Training School, composed of
J. Y. Baber, J. M. Bland and J. L. Jackson, Jr.

The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
