Min 01/31/1941 505 Memorial Auditorium Wichita Falls, Texas January 31, 1941 i s The Board of Aldermen met in regularly called session at 4:00 o'clock P. M. January 31, 1941, in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium with the following members present: { W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor W, Ralph Hyer, H. J. Naylor, V. E. Stampfli, 4 Aldermen Jas. M. Williams, � Frank Wolf, Z J. Bryan Miller, City Manager J. H. Crouch, City Clerk Mayor Fitzgerald announced the purpose of this called meeting to be the consideration of a lease between the City of Wichita Falls, and the United States of America, consisting of a tract of land, buildings and improvements and appurtenances thereunto for the purpose of a Military E Reservation and Airport. Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby authorize it's Mayor, W. E. Fitzgerald to execute for and on behalf of said City, lease with the United States of America i dated the 1st day of February A. D. 1941, conveying the following described premises: i A tract of land, and buildings, improvements and appurtenances thereunto belonging, situated in Wichita County, States of Texas, containing approximately six hundred four (604) acres, more or less, said land being a plot of ground adjacent to Kell Field Airport, more particularly described in said lease; to be used exclusively for the purpose of Military Reservation and Airport. Motion seconded by Alderman Williams*and carried. Moved by Alderman Hyer that the Board of Aldermen adjourn. 3 Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli, and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
