Memorial Auditorium,
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
4 regular session on the above date at 8:00 o'clock P. M. in the
Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium with the following menbers
present:

The minutes of the meeting October 14th, were read.
Moved by Alderman Williams that the minutes of October 14th,
be approved as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick, and carried.
Moved by Alderman Williams that in the absence of Mayor W. E.
Fitzgerald from the City that Alderman Wolf be appointed Mayor-protempore
for this meeting.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 1310
AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF THE CITY GOVERN-
MELT FOR T111E FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 19409 AND ENDING SPETEMBER
30, 1941.
Moved by Alderman Williams that Ordinance No. 1310 be passed on its
third and final reading and approved as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried with the following
vote:
Yeas: Fitzpatrick, Naylor, Stampfli, Williams and Wolf.

AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE ALLEY SEPARATING
LOTS 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, AND 10 IN BL:CK 57 OF THE ORIGINAL TOWN
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING FROM LINCOLN STREET TO NORTH
BROOK kVENUE, AND RESERVING UNTO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS A
RIGHT-OF-VAY AND EASEMENT FOR THE LAYING OF A SEVER LINE WITH
THE RICET OF ING':ESS AND EGRESS FOR THE REPAIRING AND MAINTAIN-
ING THE SAME.
Moved by Alderman Williams that Ordinance No. 1313 be passed on
its first reading.
Notion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried with the
following vote:
Yeas: Fitzpatrick, Naylor, Stampfli, Williams and Wolf.
Nays: None.

It was moved by Alderman Fitzpatrick that the Board of Alder-
men hereby authorize the use by the Wichita Falls Public Shools
System of 32 movable school traffic safety signs for a 90 day trial
period, it being understood that the schools will operate and control
the use of said signs.
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried.

Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen hereby
authorize and allow the use of the Municipal Auditorium, stage and
dressing rooms by one unit of the local 'National Guards during the
period from November 25th, to December 4th, to be used as barracks
or sleeping quarters, and allow the use of the American Legion
Room for a mess hall.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried.
B. L. Wiest and others appeared before the Board of Aldermen
requesting the extension of water lines from the present water line
to the intersection of the old Iowa Park Road with the new Scott
Street Highway.
This request was referred to the City Manager for cost estimates,
to be reported to the Board of Aldermen.

AN ORDINANCE BY THE POARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, RATIFYING AND APPROVING THE TRUST INDENTURE DATED AS OF
THE FIRST DAY OF OCTOBER, 1940, EXECUTED BY THE 1,AYOR AND ATTESTED BY
THE CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY, TO SECURE PAYMiENT OF $400,000.00 'CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, WATERVORKS SYSTEM Ib°PROVEM NT REVENUE BONDS, '
DATED OCTOBER 1, 1940, AUTHORIZED AT THE ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY
ON TBE 30TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1938, FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING,
ENLARGING, EXTENDING AND REPAIRING THE V,'ATERXRKS SYSTEM OF SAID CITY,
AND WHICH SAID TRUST INDENTURE VAS EXECUTED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK IN ACi ORDANCE WITH ORDINANCE NO. 1308, PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE

WRKS SYSTEM OF SAID CITY, THE EXCLUSIVE RIGHT, PRIVILEGE AND FRANCHISE
TO OPE-;ATE THE SAID SYSTEM, IN THE EVENT OF DEFAULT IN THE PAYMIENT OF ALL,
OR ANY PORTION, OF THE $400,000.00 'CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, VATER-
WORKS SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT 'REVENUE BONDS, ' DATED OCTOBIM 1, 1940, AUTHORIZED
AT THE ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON THE 30TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1938s FOR
