The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular
session on the above date at 8:00 o'clock P. 11. in the Council Room of the
Memorial Auditorium with the following members present:

The minutes of the meeting of September 9, 1940 were read.
Moved by Alderman Naylor that the minutes of September 9th
be approved as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried.
Moved by alderman Naylor that the Board of Aldermen authorize
and approve the employment of W. P. Dumas, Attorney of Dallas, Texas, to
prepare all the necessary 1roceedings, and furnish all the necessary opinions
for the emmpletion and marketing of $50,000.00 City of Wichita Falls Fire
and Police Station Bonds, and issuing and marketing $400,000.00 City of Wichita
Falls ?Water Revenue Bonds at an agreed fee of not to exceed $800.00.

ORDINANCE N0. 1307
AN ORDINANCE BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS FOR THE PRINCIPAL SUM OF
$500000.00, FOR THE PURPOSE OF REPAIRING AND IMPROVING THE POLICE STATION
AND CENTRAL FIRE STATION OWNED BY SAID CITY; PRESCRIBING THE FORM OF BOND,
INTEREST COUPONS AND CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION; LEVYING A CONTINUING
DIRECT ANNUAL AD VALOREM TAX ON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTIES WITHIN THE LIMITS OF
SAID CITY TO PAY THE INTEREST ON SUCH BONDS AND TO CREATE A SINKING FUND FOR
THE REDEMPTION THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR THE ASSESSMENT AND COLLECTION OF
SUCH TAX; ENACTING PROVISIONS INCIDENT AND RELATING TO THE SUBJECT AND PURPOSE
OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Moved by Alderman Hyer that Ordinance No. 1307 be passed on its
first reading.

AN ORDINANCE BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN' OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FAILS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS IN THE PRINCIPAL
SUM OF $400,000.00, DESIGNATED AS •CITY OF WICFITA FALLS, TEXAS,
WATERWORKS SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT REVENUE BONDS," FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROV-
ING, ENLARGING, MCTENDING AND REPAIRING THE WATERWURKS SYSTEM OF SAID
CITY; PRESCRIBING THE FORM OF BOND, INTEREST COUPONS AND CERTIFICATES OF
REGISTRATION; PLEDGING THE REVENUES OF THE CITY'S VATERVIORKS SYSTEM TO
THE PAYMENT OF PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST OF THE BONDS, AFTER PROVIDING FOR
THE EXPENSE OF OPERATING `'AID SYSTEM; FURTHER FECURING SAID BONDS BY A
MORTGAGE ON ALL THE PROPERTIES COMPRISING THE CITY'S ENTIRE WATERWORKS

Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen authorize
the issuance of Chauffeur's license to Raymond G. Redd.
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylcr and carried.
Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen grant the
issuance of permit, or license, to Abbott's Junior Golf Course, operated
by D. B. Abbott, 3006 Seymour Road, for the period of June 1, 1940 to
December 10 1940, at a license fee of $12.50.

Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen
authorize the installation of an electric traffic stop and go signal
light at the intersection of Holliday and Blonde Streets.

and order adjustment of personal and property delinquent taxes and settle-

Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen order written
notice that written notice of intention to file tax suit not earlier than ten
days after the date of such written notice be given to the owners of the follow-
ing described properties, and further order the City Attorney to file suits
on the said list for the collection of City, School and College taxes, after
the expiration of the above mentioned ten days notice.

deny the application for dance license of Mrs. Lucille Sawyer,

Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried.
Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen
reouest Alderman Hyer to represent the City of Wichita Falls at
the Annual Mayor's Conference to be held in New York City, and
expenses paid.
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried.
