The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, net in regular
session on the above date at 8:00 o'clock P. M. in the Council Room of the
Memorial Auditorium with the following members present:
W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor

H. 1. Naylor, G Aldermen
Tas. M. Williams,
Frank Wolf,
T. Bryan Miller, City Manager
T. H. Crouch, City Clerk
T. A. Hicks, City Attorney
The minutes of the meeting of May 20, 1940 were read.
Moved by Alderman Naylor that the minutes of the meeting of May 20th,
be approved as read.
Motio- seconded by Alderman Hyer and carried.
A public hearing on proposal for the collection and disposal of trash
and garbage in the City of Wichita Falls set for hearing on this date was called
by the Mayor. A comniittee from the Chamber of Commerce vras heard urging the
revision of the present ordinance governing trash hauling, etc. The attorney
representing L. D. Green was heard, and representatives of the present licensed
trash haulers urged the Board while revising the present system to leave the
hauling of trash and garbage with the present trash haulers. Mayor Fitzgerald
stated the position of the Board of Aldermen, setting out the apparant necessity
for the revision of the present system by the changing of the present ordinances,
and closed the hearing with the statement that a more definite consideration a.nd
