Memorial Auditorium Building
January 29, 1940
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session on the above date at 8:00 o'clock p. m. in the council Room
of the Memorial Auditorium with the following members present:
W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor
V. E. Stampfli )

J. H. Crouch, City Clerk
T. A. Hicks, City Attorney
The minutes of the meeting of January 22nd were read.
Moved by Alderman Williams that the minutes of the meeting of
January 22nd be approved as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried.
Ray C. Arnhold, architect, delivered to the Board of Aldermen
sealed bids on specifications for the construction of an addition to the
Wichita General Hospital Building, whereupon Mayor Fitzgerald caused bids to
be opened and reviewed. Said bids were as follows:
Rosser & Son $6,850.00
Reid Construction Co. 69550.00
B. 0. Howle 6,400.00
J. L. Hair Construction Co. 5,994.00
W. M. Hibbs 5,974.00
Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen approve and
accept the bid of W. M. Hibbs in the amount of $5,974.00 as the lowest and best /
bid on specifications for the construction of an addition to the Wichita General V
Hospital Building, and, pursuant to an order by the Board of Aldermen on November
27, 1939, authorizing the participation of the City with Wichita County in the
construction of an addition to the Wichita General Hospital Building, hereby
authorize and order payment by the ity of one=half the cost of said addition not
to exceed tr-e sum of $3,000.00.
Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried.
Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board grant a building permit
to A. C. Epp for the construction of two duplex residences at Sixteenth and Travis
Streets.
Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried.
Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board approve the sale
of lOxl6 ft between Lots 138 & 139; 4x16 ft. between Lots 138 & 146; 4x16
ft between Lots 139 & 147 all in Block K of the Riverside Cemetery in the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas, at the prevailing price of 50V per square
ft.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried.

Moved by Alderman Wolf that the board of Aldermen authorize
the adjustme t of personal and property delinquent taxes and settlement of
same as set out in the following schedule:
