The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date at 8:00 o'clock P. 1. in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium with the following members present: W. Hicks, City Attorney The minutes of the meeting of December llth were read. Moved by Alderman Bebb that the minutes of the meeting of December llth be approved as read. Moved by Alderman Wolf that Ordinance No. 1296 be passed on its first reading. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Bebb, Fitzpatrick, Naylor and Wolf. Nays: None. Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen authorize and approve the use of an asphalt or hot top surf-.ce on Dayton Street, 1700 and 1800 blocks, said surfacing to be approximately half inch thick, to be strictly under- stood that the said paving on th:_- said two blocks is considered as a street improvement only, for the reason th=-It the said surf-cinf,- fails to meet the minimum specifications for paving_&,41na-nea, being further understood that the City assumes no obligations to maintain the said surfacing; as a paved street. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried. Motion seconded by Alderman Babb and carried. Moved by Alderman Naylor that the Board authorize the expenditure of approximately $350.00 to secure the Right-of-Way for the improving of the drain- age of Twenty-first Street and Broad Street and an additional estimated $350.00 for labor and materials for said improvement. 116tion seconded by Alderman l'itzpatrick and carried. Moved by Alderman Babb tht the Board of Aldermen authorize the purchase of the outstanding stocks and accounts of the 114 Chita Falls ."irport Corporation at not more than twenty-five cents on the dollar, par value, at a total cost not tc exceed $5,247.35, and instruct the Treasurer make said purchase through the officers of the said Wichita Falls Airport Corporation upon delivery � of said stocks and paid accounts.
