December 4, 1939
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular
session on the above date at 8:00 o'clock P. M. in the Council Room of the
Memorial Auditorium vi th the following members present:

The Minutes of the meeting of November 27th were read.
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the minutes of the meeting of November
27th be approved as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried.

RESOLUTION
I
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Wichita Falls authorize the execution for and on behalf of the City of Wichita
Falls, that certain 'forks Progress Administration Project Proposal, Sponsor's
Proposal 5-39, and being a project of city wide improvement of streets and side-
walks, and, further, that W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor of the City of Wichita Falls,
be authorized to execute such project as the Sponsor's Agent, and that J.
Bryan Miller, City Manager, be authorized to execute such project proposal as
the fiscal officer of said City.
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried.
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Wichita Falls do hereby allocate and set aside to that certain project described
in Works Progress Administration Project Proposal, Sponsor's Proposal 5-39, and
entitled "Project of city wide improvement of streets and sidewalks," all those
certain funds, materials and equipment as set in such project proposal, as the
Sponsor's contribution, and being in the total amount of $83,658,00, and that
such funds allocated from and constitute a charge against the Street Fund of said
City.
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried.
Fred E. A. Darr personally presented a request to the Board for
the issuance through the Engineering; Department of a building permit to repair
and remodel a residence at 1203 Travis.
Mayor Fitzgerald ordered the request taken under advisement and
referred same to the City Attorney for more detailed report to be submitted at
the next regular meeting.

settlement of personal and property delinquent taxes and settlement of same
as outlined in the fol''ov:in�: schedule:

Moved by Alderman Naylor that the Board grant the request of the
business firms located on the South side of the 900 block of Eighth Street for
the installation of parking meters and request the City Attorney to prepare
the necessary amendments to the ordinances governing. ,
Motionseconded by Alderman 'golf and carried.
Moved by Alderman Hebb that the Board accept and approve bids on
two pieces of automotive for the Water Department as follows, as the lowest and
best bids; and reject all other bids made on automotive equipment:
Fox-Randel Motor Company $477.85
Morgan rotor Company $567.95
Yotion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried.
Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen adjourn.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
