The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls net in regular session
on the above date at 8:00 o'clock P. - , in the Council Roor. of the Yemorial Audi-
torium Building with the follov:ing members present:

The minutes of the meeting of September 25th were read.
Moved by Alderman Stanpfli that the minutes of the meeting of September
25th be approved as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried.
In connection with the request by resolution of the joint paging committee
of the Chamber of Commerce and Real Estate Board, presented to the Council on September
25th, relative the City of Wichita Falls' participation in a proposed W. P. A. paving
program of lateral streets, City Manager, Miller, reported that he had revised
estimate of the City's portion of such program to be approximately $6,000, lovering
the estimate by $3,000. After discussion of this report by the Council, Pura-*or Fi,tz-
gerald requested Aldermen Fitzpatrick and Naylor to contact paving contractors .for
asp stain whether or not the paving; contractors desired to bid on such proposc-
paving on specification and conditions furnished by the City Manager and tenatively
approved by the Board of Aldermen.
Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board authorize and order the adjust-
ment of personal and property delinquent taxes and settlement of same as outlined
in the follou3 ng schedule:

Loved by Alderman Bebb that the City I=anger be granted leave to attend
a City tanager's Convention, and that J. H. Crouch be appointed Acting City Yanager
during the absence of Mr. Miller.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried.

license fees on application of C. Dibble to conduct a public dance in the Mexican
Hall on the night of 'Thursday, October 5th, in connection with the negro football
game scheduled for that date.

the eater Collection Department to credit Accounts Receivable) for water and
service.) certain accounts classified as uncollectable, and covering the period of
October 1, 1936, to October 1, 1937, in the amount of $76.39. Detail of this
credit filed in the records of the City Clerk.
Motion seconded by Alderman Bebb and carried.
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Board authorize the City Clerk to ask
for bids by public auditors
,, who qualify under the terms of the City Charters and on
specification reviewed and hereby approved by this Board, for the regular annual
audit of the City of Wichita Falls, said bids to filed by not later tham 8:00 P. I- ,
October 16th, 1939.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried.
Moved by Alderman Naylor that the Board of Aldermen adjourn.
Votion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
