The Yanager reported to the Council results cif an investigation
cove 07 drainage conditions at Venty-first and Broad Streets.
Alderman Kaylor, Chairman of the Board coEnittee investigating
drainage conditions at 'A,,.enty-first and Broad Streets and other locutions, report-
ed with a su7nestior_ that further survey be made to determine the cost of Right-of-
'`ay necessary for the relief of storm drainage adjacent to Twenty-first qnd Broad
Streets.
On these reports the Lamr ordered n continuation of the investi-
gatic ns in this matter.

This hearing developed a staterent h7 Fire Chief LcClure recom-
rending the iTprovement of fire fighting equinr,ent, and in particular the acquisi-
tion of a modern a,;riFl truck.
A joint committee of the Chamber of Commerce and the Real Esta to
Ma.rd discussed rith the Council the an-•>arent necessity and feasibility of the
City of Wichita F= ' is participation in the prencsed progran- for the p_vin; of a

proposed budget for the ensuing• fiscal year a cuff cient fund to take advantage of
