The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Fa11 s met in regular
session on the above date in the Council Room of the Memorial uditorium with
the following members present:

The Minutes of the meeting of July loth were read.
Moved by Alderman Williams that minutes of the meeting of Tuly

second reading.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried by the following

Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen of the
City of Wichita Falls hereby approve the dedication of the Second Supplemental
Dedication Plat to the First Section of the Country Club Estates Addition to
the City of -Wichita Falls, Texas, map or plat of said Second Supplemental
Dedication Addition attatched hereto and making a part of these records.
Motion seconded by Alderman Bebb and carried.
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Board approve the expenditure
not to exceed $500,00 for the installation of water and sanitary sewer
connection of the contemplated paving in the Second Supplemental Dedication
to the Country Club Estates.
Notion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried.
Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board,: after review of bids
compiled by the City Manager for the repair of the roof over the Council
Chamber in the Memorial Auditorium Building and painting of the walls and
corridors and in the Council Room, award to the Pullen Roofing Company the
repair of the roof over the Council Chamber for the bid price of $225.00,
and award to Theo. W. Beck the painting of the walls anc corridors and the
Council Room for the bid price of,..$5589003,said awards approved as the lowest
and best bids.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried.
R. W. Oakey, representing the Veterans of Foreign Wars, requested
the Council to grant the issuance of a permit for the sale of safety stamps.
Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board grant the request of R. W.
Oakey on behalf of the Veterans of Foreign Wars for the issuance of a permit for
the sale of safety stampa.
Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried.
Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board authorize the adjustment of
personal and property delinquent taxes and settlement of same as out-lined in the
following schedules:

Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Council authorize the payment of $975.00
to the Wichita General Hospital on account of Charity for the month of Tune on
the payment of a like sum from Wichita County.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried.
Alderman Williams on behalf of the Kemp Hotel presented to the City
five shares of capital stock of the Wichita Falls Airport Company on the condition
that the acquisition of remaining outstanding stock be finally consummated.
Moved by Alderman Williams that the following resolution be adopted:

RESOLUTI01
WHEREASthe Kemp Hotel through its manager, C. S. Cate, has offered
and presented to the City of Wichita Falls as a gift or donation through the ac-
quisition of the property and interest of the Wichita Falls Airport Company by
the City of Wichita Falls, five shares of capital stock of the said company, certi-
ficate No. 101, and,
WHEREAS this contribution materially aids the City in the acquisition
and support of the Municipal Airport, and,
AREAS the Board of Aldermen sincerely appreciate the interest mani-
fest by such a gift on the part of this business institution to the City.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLUED BY TITL BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF TIE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The sincere thanks of the City be hereby expressed to the Kemp Hotel,
and to its manager, C. S. Cate, for the gift of five shares of capital stock of the
Wichita Falls "'irport Company.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 17th day of July, A. D., 1939.
Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board approve the execution
of lease to the Department of Public Safety of the State of Texas, portions of
the Original lots 4 and 5, Block B, Kemp Addition, to be used for site of frame
building to house offices of the Department of Public Safety in Wichita Falls,
Texas, with consideration not to exceed $1.00 per year for a period of five years.
It is understood that it is the intent of the Board to lease said lots
for a longer period, provided the Department of Public Safety will construct per-
manent office building on this site on or before the expiration of the date of the
lease authorized.
Motion seconded by Alderman Bebb and carried.
Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen authorize the
j execution by its Mayor, for and on behalf of the City, with Campbell-Phelps
Company of Ne-w York City, for the ndbnIng of The City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
Consolidated ReMrdeg Bonds, according to the terms and conditions of the con-
tract dated July 18, 1939

Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Beard of Kldermen adjourn.

The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
