The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular
session on the above date in the Council Room of the Lemorial Auditorium with
the ollouing members present:

The Minute: of the meetinP of June 5th were read.
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Minutes of the meeting of June 5th
be approved as read.

Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the board authorize the acceptance of
and execution by W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor, of a certain contract and agreement by and
between the City of Wichita Falls and the Wichita Falls Independent School District
and the Wichita Falls Junior College District, dated the 8th day of June, A. D.,
1939, for the collection of said district's taxes for a period of two years expiring
the 30th day of June, A. D. , 1941, and further authorize the acceptance for andon
behalf of the City of Wichita Falls the certain letters of agreement dated June
7th, 1939 and June 8th, 1939, covering the acquisition of certain office equipment
and a proceedure for the collection of delinquent taxes.

ments of the Ordinance governing.

L. A. Cone, joined by citizens and property owners on Speedway Avenue
filed a petition with the Board protesting the re-plating and sub-division of a
certtin block immediately adjacent to Speedway Avenue.
Mayor e'r. F. Fitzgerald deferred consideration of this matter until
the next regular meeting and appointed a Council committee composed of Aldermen
Naylor, Stampfl.i and Bebb to investigate this matter and prepare report for
the Board.
Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board authorize the adjustment
of personal and property delinquent taxes and settlement of same as out-lined
in the following schedule:

in the City parks, seats or benches carrying advertisements, and without cost to
the City.
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and lost with the following vots:
Yeas: Aldermen Stampfli and Naylor.
Nays: Aldermen Bebb, Fitzpatrick, Ylll iams and t'iolf.
Moved by Alderman Williams th,.:t the Board reject the application of
J. amith for a domino license.
Notion seconded by hlderman Stampfli and carried.
Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board grant issuance of a
chauffeurs license to Carl Green.
lotion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried.
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Board a-)prove and order payment of
the sum of $2,211,12 for charity and the sum of $296.94 for improvements to the
Wichita General Hospital upon the payment of a like sum from Wichita County.
Yotion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried.
Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board recind their prior action
denying a license to solicit advertising to J. H. Condon, and grant license on
his a�>plication.
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor with the following; result:
Yeas: Aldermen Naylor tailliams and Stampfli.
Nays: Aldermen Bebb, Fitzpatrick and tolf.
Tie-vote being recorded, Mayor W. E. Fitzgerald voted nay.

Moves by-Alderman Stampfli that the Board grant issuance of a
license to solicit advertising to Clarence Horton.
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried.
Moved by Alderman. Naylor that the Bc,ard of aldermen adjourn.
Yotion seconded by Alderman +golf and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
