Min 04/24/1939 Memorial Auditorium Wichita Falls, Texas April 24, 1939 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular session at 8:00 P. M. on the above date in the Council Room in the Memorial Auditorium with the following members present: W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor E. A. Babb ) J. W. Fitzpatrick ) Aldermen H. J. Naylor ) J. Bryan Miller, City Manager J. H. Crouch, City Clerk T. A. Hicks, City Attorney The Minutes of the regular meeting of April 17, 1939, were read. Moved by Alderman Fitzpatrick that the minutes of the regular meeting of April 17, 1939 be approved as read. Motion seconded by Alderman Babb and carried. Moved by Alderman Babb that the Board authorize the payment to Huff, Mytinger & Walker the sum, of $607.65, being 1/3 of the gross receipts tthe from water mains in the Brook Avenue Addition for the year ending , , same being reimbursement on water main contract. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried. Moved by Alderman Naylor that the Board grant chauffeurs license to Kyle B. Pinson. Motion sec-nded by Alderman Babb and carried. The Council was requested by a property owner living in the 1900 block on Brittain Street for improvement to drainage facilities. Mayor Fitzgerald referred this request to the City Manager for investigation and report to the Council. Moved by Alderman Naylor that the Board authorize the immediate installation of a "Stop and Go" traffic signal at Sixth and Lamar Streets. Motion seconded by Alderman Hebb and carried. Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Board request the attendance of Mayor W. E. Fitzgerald at the Mayors Conference to be held in New York City, beginning May 15th, 19399 with expenses paid. Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried. adjourn. Moved by Alderman Fitzpatrick that the Board of Aldermen Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
