March 27, 1939
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Illichita Falls met
in regular session_ at 8:00 P.M. on the above date in the Council Room in the
Memorial Auditorium with the following members present:

were read. The minutes of the regular meeting of March 20, 1939,
loved by Alderman Bebb that the minutes of the regular
meeting of March 20, 1939, be approved as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried.
A representative of the Bowie School Parent-Teachers
Association appeared before the Council requesting the City to make provisions
for labor and equipment on a new street connecting the Bowie School directly
vd th the Petrolia road.
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Board refer the above
request of the Bowie School Parent-Teachers Association to the City Manager
for investigation and report to the Board at the next regular meeting.
Notion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried.
A committee of citizens living on Virginia Street and
in the adjacent community protested with the Board the granting of any public
dance licenses in that section of the City, and particularly in the 900 Block
at the location of Galveston and Virginia Streets.

Moved by Alderman vVilliams that the Board authorize
the adjustment of delinquent personal and property taxes and settlement of same
as set out in the following schedule:- - -

Moved by Alderman V;olf that the Board of Aldermen
hereby authorize and instruct the City Treasurer to make interfund transfers
as follows:

Park Fund, $101000.00 Street Fund, $25,000.00
Y'ater Fund, 580000.00 Library Fund, 3,000.00
Sinking Fund, 40,000.00
$689000.00 $68,000.00
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried.
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Board of Aldermen
and instruct the City Treasurer to advertise for sealed tenders on the City
of Wichita Falls outstanding bonds, in the amount of W,000.00 and in accordance
with the refund plan, all tenders or offers to be delivered to the Mayor and
Board of Aldermen.
Motion seconded by Alderman T+olf and carried.
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Board authorize
the construction of hard surface paving; Baylor Street between Huff Street and
Elizabeth Street with the width of said pavement on the East side of Baylor
Street and irnediately adjacent to one residence property located at the South-
east corner of Baylor Street and Elizabeth Street, more particularly described
as Lot No. 13, Block 7, Southland Addition, and not to exceed eighteen inches
less in width or narrower, than the average or established width of paving on
the said two blocRs.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hardage and carried.
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Board authorize and
order the establishment of lower summer water rates for consumers outside of the
City limits as follows:
Minimum, 4,000 Gal.,$1.50; Next 96,000 Gal. at 24V per 1,000
Gal; with previous list established rate applied to over 100,000
Gal. consumed.
Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried.

adjourn.
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
