ORDINANCE NO. 1278 AN CFDINAY4CE AITMI ING PARAGRAPH A OF SECTION FORU OF ORDINANCE NO. 568 REGULATING INSTALLATION OF GASOLINE TANKS, PEF11ITTIM THE INSTALLATION OF TANKS TO BE SET ON NOT LESS THAN SIX INCHES OF SAND OR ON SIX INCHES OF CONCRETE E. O'.RDINANCE NO. 1279 AN CRDINAME PROVIDING THAT BEFORE TFE, CITY OF 'i�ICHITA FALLS SHALL BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO A PERSON INJURED, SUCH PERSON OR S OP,T ONE FOR HIM, SHALL GIVE THE CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY NOTICE IN WRITING OF SUCH INJURY WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS AFTER THE SAME HAS BEEN RECEIVED, GIVING THE DETAILS OF SUCH INJURY, NAMES OF Vv ITNESSES AND ETC. 2:°owed by Alderman Bebb that Ordinance No. 1279 be passed on its first reading. !'?otion seconded by Alderman Hardage and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Bebb, Hardage, Fitzpatrick, Yilliams, Wolf and Taylor. Nays: None. 103i Moved by Alderman Babb that the Board authorize the purchase of approximate- ly 1700 feet of second hand water line at an approximate cost of �200.00 to be in- stalled at Kell Field Airport, labor to be furnished by lt�ichita Falls Air Trtinsport Company and said line to be property of the City of ti.'ichita Falls. Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried. Loved by Alderman Babb that the Board allow the installation of filling station sign at Fifteenth and Scott; Texas Company filling station operated by J. F. McCaslin, subject to approval of the Highway Department. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried. Moved by Alderman bebb that the Board request the City Manager to secure from the Safety Department of the State Highway Department an analysis of traffic conditions in the City with the understanding that said analysis be without cost to the City. Motion seconded by Alderman Hardage and carried. Moved by Alderman Fitzpatrick that the Board request the assignment of traffic officers to Avenue H and Harrison Street and vicinity and other locations to be determined by the Langer and Police Department for at least a period of two weeks. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried. IMoved by Alderman Naylor that the Board instruct the City Attorney to notify Luke McCrory, Trustee,of the opinion of the Legal Department setting out the rights Of the City in regard to damming of water on Lake Wichita water shed, calling Mr. MCcrory's attention to the fact that no water may be used except as set out therein. Moved by Alderman Hardage that the Board authorize the City Lianage to adver- tise for sealed bids on all houses secured b, reason of purchase of right-of-way, Highway #30; said bids to be opened at the next regular meeting of the Board. notion seconded by Alderman Yaylor and carried. Loved by Alderman Naylor that the Board authorize the purchase for right-of- way Highway #30 the G. I%'. Jackson property being; Lot E, Block 244, at not to exceed tl,800; and T. J. D. 1938, at a regular meetipf, of the City Council, cane or, to be considered the deed executed by S. A. L. Morgan, convey- ing to the City of tichita Falls, Texas, a strip of land lying North of Fifth Street, and East of North Filmore Street, in the City of 'dichita Falls , Texas, and, on motion made, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF T' ICNITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT as a prt of the consideration for the execution of the deed aforesaid, there shall be no assessment against said property in connection with the re-paving of Fil..more Street along; and adjacent to said property, which is being used as a part of Highway No. 30.
