953 Wichita Falls , Texas Memorial Auditorium Build irC July 11, 1938 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls net in regular session at 8:00 P. M. on the above date in the Council Room in the Manorial Auditorium with the following members present : W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor Edwin A. Bebb, J. W. Fitzpatrick, H. J. Naylor, Pat Hardage, Ald ermen Jas. M. Williams, Frank Wolf, J. Bryan Miller, City Manager J. H. Crouch, City Clerk T. r_. Hicks, City Attorney The Minutes of the regular meeting of June 27th were read. Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Minutes of the regular meeting of June 27th be approved as read. Motion seconded by Alderman Hardage and carried. A committee of the Retail Division of the Chamber of Commerce appeared before the Board urging passage of an ordinance providing for licensing and regulating transient merchants. lioved by Alderman Williams that the following resolution be adopted. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Williams, Naylor, Bebb, Fitzpatrick, Hardage and Vjolf. Nays: None. Bryan Miller, City Manager of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, be and he is authorized to execute and file an application on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, to the United States of America for a loan and grant to aid in financing the construction of waterworks improvements. SECTION 2. That J. Bryan Miller, City Man iger of the City of 12uiehita Falls, Texas, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to furnish such informa- tion as the United States of America through the Federal IIner�ency Administration of Public 'v,orks may reasonably request in connection with the application which is herein authorized to be filed. s TO Jjoved by Alderman Bebb that the Board of Aldermen authorize the employment of Voelcker & Dixon, Architects, for the preparation of definite plans fbr converting the old Post Office building into a police department headquarters and employment of Ray C. Arnhold, Architect, in making plans for converting the present Police and Fire De- partment headquarters into headquarters for the Fire Department only. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried. Yoved by Alderman Williams that the Board approve payment to Viichita General Hospital the sum of 11,301.13 on payment of like sum by Wichita County. J,jotion seconded by Alderman Hardage and carried. rr_oved by Alderman Naylor that chauffeur's license be granted to C. E. McKnight. Motion seconded by Alderman Hardage and carried.
