Min 11/22/1937 �6 lichits Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building November 22, 1937 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session at 8:00 P. M. on the above date in the Council Room in the kemorial Auditorium in the Council Room with the following members Im esent: W. E. Fitzgerald, Meyor J. W. Fitzpatrick, Q Pat Hardage, H. J. Naylor A.lderme n J. Y. ?Tilliems, { Frank Wolf, � J. Bryan Miller, City Neeneger J. H. Crouch, City Clerk T. A. Hicks, City Attorney The 1inutes of the regular meeting of November 15th were reed. Moved by Alderman Williams that the Minutes of the regular meeting of November 15th be approved as reed. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried. V. E. Hamm made a proposal to the Board of Aldermen for the use of the Auditorium for motion picture sound shows. After some discussion the Rayor deferred the matter for further considera- tion by the Council. Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board authorize and order payment of $2,772.70 to the Wichita General Hospital on the payment of like amount by Wichita County. Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf end carried. Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board grant permission to the American Legion to sell apples during Christmas holidays in the business district. hIotion seconded by Alderman Hardage and carried. ORDINANCE NO. 1265 .AN ORDINANCE LEVYING, ASSESSING, AND FIXING THE RATE OF TAXATION IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FAILS, TEXAS, FOR THT' YEAR A. D. 19379 AND IMING AN OCCUPATION TAX ON ALL OCCUPATIONS TAXABLE TINDER THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS AND TEEM CHARTER AND ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY. Moved by Alderman Naylor that Ordinance No. 1265 be passed on its first reading. Motion seconded by Alderman Hardage and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Naylor, Hardage, Fitzptrick, Williams and ?golf. Nays: None. Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board approve tax refund to Home Owners Loan Corporation in the amount of $16.40 on Lots 1, Block 2, Skinner Addition, account of homestead. Motion seconded by Alderman Hardage and carried. Moved by Alderman Naylor that the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls authorize the execution fbr and on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls of that certain Works Progress Administration Project Proposal, Sponsor's Proposal No. 2-37A, and being a project to prepare maps showing underground mains, service lines, and other such structures of the existing water system owned by the City of Wichita Falls, in- cluding necessary engineering, field and office surveys to collect the information and data necessary for such maps, and, further, that W. E. Fitzgerald, Moyor of the City of Wichita Falls, be authorized to execute such project proposal as the Sponsor's Argent, and that J. Bryan biller, City Maneger, be authorized to execute such project proposal as the fiscal officer of seid City. Motion seconded by Alderman Williams Qnd carried. Moved by Alderman Naylor that the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls do hereby allocate and set aside to that certain project described in works Pro- gress Administration Project Proposal, Sponsor's Proposal No. 2-37A, and entitled "The preparation of meps showing underground mains, service lines, and other such structures of the existing water system owned by the City of Wichita Falls, including the necessary engineering, field and office surveys to collect the information and data necessary for such maps", all those certain funds, materials and equipment as set in such proposal as the Pponsor's contribution, and being in the total amount of 1,204.00, and that such fundg llocated from and constitute a charge against the Water Fund of said City. Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried. Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen hereby authorize end order the transfer of appropriation balances fbr the fiscal year 1936-37; said appropriations heretofore duly mPde pnd not expended/in the departments, divisions, and accounts where eppropriPtions originally made are insufficient to cover expenditures made, such transfers to be made in accordance with a certified record of such transfers filed in the records of the City Clerk. Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried. Moved by Alderman. Wolf that the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
