Min 11/01/1937 7 5 7 Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditcrium Building November 1, 1937 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session at 8:00 P. X on the above date in the Cound l Room in the Memorial Auditorium with the following members present: W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor Pat Hardege, e T. W. Fitzpatrick, T. N. Williams, Edwin A. Babb, i Aldermen H. T. Naylor, Frank Wolf, � 7. Bryan Hiller, City Manager 1. H. Crouch, City Clerk T. A. Hicks, City Attorney The Minutes of the regular ne eting of October 25th were read. Moved, by Alderman Williams that the Minutes of the regular mating ct October 25th be approved as read. Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried. Moved by Alderman Fitzpatrick that the Board award to the Aetna Life Insurance Company of Hartford, Conn., contract for the writing of employees group insurance and further authorize the execution of the necessary contracts and policies. Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried. Dr. F. R. Collard and Rev. Tune presented to the Board a petition of interested citizens requesting the City to build an all weather road through the Stock Yard Addition to the City of Wichita Falls. The petit ion was received and ordered filed. Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board authorize adjustments of personal and property taxes and settlement of some as outlined in the following schedule. Moved by Alderman Babb that the following resolution be adopted. Motion-seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Babb, Naylor, Hardage, Fitzpatrick, Williams, and Wolf. Nays: None. RESOLUTION Whereas, the City National Bank in Wichita Falls as depository of funds of the City of Wichita Fells has made application for the release of $11,000.00 Wichita County Bonds as described in Receipts Nos. 72 and 73 of the Wichita National Bank of Wichita Falls as heretofore pledged as security to our deposits. AND WHEREAS, there now appears to be a substantial excess of collateral pledged to their deposits. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT said release be authorized and the Wichita National Bank of Wichita Falls be instructed to deliver said bonds to City National Bank in Wichita Falls, R.J Moved by Alderman Babb that the following resolution be adopted. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Alderman Babb, Naylor, Fitzpatrick, Williams, Rolf, and Hardage. Nays: None. RESOLUTION VEEREAS, the City National Bank in Wichita Falls as Depository of funds of the City of Wichita Falls has mede application for the release of $150,000 U.S. l Treasury Notes as described on Receipt No. 13241 of the First National Bank in Dallas as heretofore pledged as security to our deposits, and whereas there is now substantial excess of security pledged to the total of our deposits. AM VEEREAS, said bank offers to pledge $50,000 City cf Wichita Falls Bonds to be described on Receipt of the Wichita National Bank of Wichita Falls. NOW, TBEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT said release be authorized and said First National Bank in Dallas be instructed to deliver $150,000 U. S. 1 Treasury Notes to City National Bank in Wichita Falls. Moved by Aldermen Naylor that the owners of any interest coupons due prior to June 1, 1936, and detached from city bonds be required to make an affi- davit showing the ownership of said coupons, date of purchase, and t he ownership of the bonds from which said coupons were detached, and other pertinent information relative to the ownership of the original bonds, and present the said coupons with affidavit to the Board of Aldermen for an order for payment of said coupons. Motion seconded by Aldermen W illiams and carried. Moved by Alderman Hardage that the Board a ut hori ze sale cif Space No. 384, Block Z. Riverside Cemetery, to Mrs. W. E. Smithson. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried. Moved by Alderman Williams that chauffeur's license be granted W. A. Wilson. Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried. Moved by Alderman Wolf that the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman Fitzpatrick and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
