The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls mat in regular session
at 8:00 P. 11. on the above date in the Council Room in the Memorial Auditorium with
the following members present:

The hinutes of the regular meeting of July 26th were read.
Moved by Alderman Williams that the Ydnutes of the regular meeting of July
26th be approved as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried.
Moved by Alderman Williams that the City Manager be authorized to purchase
a new three wheel, slow speed Motorcycle for use of the Traffic Department.
Motion seconded by Aldermen Wolf Ed carried.
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Board of Aldermen allow and order paid to
the Wichita General Hospital the sum. of $4,158.55 to cover hospital deficit in full
to July 11 1937.
Motion seconded by Alderman Tolf and carried.
Dr. Hyde, Vice President of the Safety Council, read a report of the special
committee of the Safety Council making recommendation covering use of parking meters.
Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board accept the report of the Safety
Council Committee and order same filed in the records of the City, and express thanks
of the Board to said Council fcr their cooperation and interest in the welfare of
the City.
Potion seconded by Alderman Babb and carried.
The Board heard members of the Committee of Petitioners requesting the
Council to refer Ordinance No. 1243 and amendments thereto to vote of the electors
of the City.

iron bridge over Wichita River on Austin Street#

Moved by Aldermen Babb that a Perforitnce Bond in the sum of $600.00 and an
Indemnity Bond in the amount of $10,000.00 and $20,000.00 be required of H. W. Yeager
and H. E. Holly in connection with contract dated July 30th for removal of the bridge
over the Wichita River.

WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, has completed the refunding of all
outstanding bonds into one consolidated issue dated June 1, 1936, and maturing June 1,
1969, and,
` HEMS, the Sinking Funds created for the retirement of City of Wichita Falls!
bonds did, prior to the refunding dated June 1, 1936, oven and naw owns certain City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, bonds in the amount of $379000.00 as an investment for said sink-
ing funds; and since, in the opinion of bond attorneys, the original bonds above referre4
to should not be exchanged but instead should be canceled; and since the new refunding
bonds authorized for exchange for the said original bonds are now deposited with the p
Comptroller of the State at Austin,

FMSOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City National Bank in Wichita Falls, City Depository, has re-
quested the Board of Aldermen to release security pledged consisting of $59,000 City
of Wichita Falls Bonds, as described in Receipts Nos. 74, 75, 78, 81 and 82 of the Mich-
its National Bank of Wichita Falls, and
WHEREAS, said City National Bank in Wichita Falls offers in substitution for
said release the deposit of $72,000 .City of Wichita Falls, Texas, Consolidated Refund-
ing Bonds. .
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS,
THAT the City of Wichita Falls release to City National Bank in Wichita Falls
said receipts Nos. 74, 759 789 81 and 82 of the Wichita National Bank, and to accept
in lieu thereof new receipt of the Wichita National Bank for $72,000 City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, Consolidated Refunding Bonds.
