The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session
at 8:00 P. M. on the above date in the Council Room in the U morial Auditorium with
the following members present:
W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor
J. W. Fitzpatrick,
Pat Hardage, Aldermen
H. J. Naylor,
J. Bryan Miller, City Manager
J. H. Crouch, City Clerk
T. A. Hicks, City Attorney

Moved by Alderman Naylor the t the Minutes of the regular meting of May
31st be approved as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hardage and carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 1253
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION OF FORT WORTH STREET
ADJACENT TO AND SEPARATING BLOCKS TWELVE AND THIRTEEN OF THE J. A. KEMP ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF WICHITA. V S, TEXAS, FROM THE Ft:ST BOUMARY LINE OF VIRGINIA STREET
EAST TO THE WEST BOUNDARY LINE OF HI GITNP Y NO. 5; SAID PORTION OF FORT WORTH STREET
BEING HEREINAFTER MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED.

Mayor Fitzgerald called for public hearing on ap plicetion of Clifton E.
Barnett for Certificate cf Public Convenience end Necessity for the operation of a taxi
cab business. No discussion was offered on this application.
Moved by Alderman Naylor that a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity be
allowed and ordered issued to Clifton E. Barnett for the operation of a taxicab business.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hardage and carried.
Moved by Alderman Naylor that the Council authorize and order adjustment of
property and personal taxes and settlement of same as outlined in the following schedule;
