Memorial Auditorium Building
April 19, 1937
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session
at 8:30 P. M. in the Council Room in the Memorial Auditorium on the above date with
the following members present:

The Minutes of the meeting of April 12 were read.
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Minutes of the meeting of April 12 be ap-
proved as read with the addition to Section 1 of the Resolution relative the sale
of cemetery spaces as follows:
"Provided full payment for such space or spaces is made immediately"
Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried.
Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board disallow the claims for damages of
Mrs. Katie E. Long and Mrs. J. E. Hale, both being represented by E. W. Napier.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hardage, and o6rrfed.
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the request of W. I. Fellows for lease on a
proposed building on City Market lot be referred to the City Manager and Health
Department.
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried.
Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen hereby authorize the
Mayor to execute the necessary deed, easement, or contract with J. B. Marlow rela-
tive the use and operation of certain water lines to and from the elevated water
storage tank at the west end of the City, with the considerations more fully to be
set out in the above mentioned deed or contract and filed with the record3of the
City.
Motion seconded by Aldennan Hardage and carried,

RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALL:
SECTION 1. That there be and there is hereby created an official traffic
commission for the City of Wichita Falls, to consist of six members, who shall be ap-
pointed and confirmed by the City Council. That the members of said traffic commission
shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council and shall be entitled to no compensation
or remuneration for their services. That in case of a vacancy upon said Commission,
other members of said commission may be selected from time to time in the manner here-
inbefore provided.
SECTION 2. That said traffic commission shall advise with the City Council,
the City Manager and the department heads and other officials of the City of Wichita
Falls as to the beat methods for the administration of street traffic regulations, and
of the improvements and changes, both legislative and administrative, designed to re-
duce street traffic accidents and to relieve traffic congestion. That in addition
thereto said traffic commission will report or make recommendations to the City Council
and the City Manager upon any measure or proposition that may be presented to such
traffics commission by the city officials relating to the subject matter within the
jurisdiction of said traffic commission.
SECTION 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its paasage
as is in the Charter in such cases made and provided.
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Board grant the request of Miller & Miller and'.
order the issuance of permit for the installation of a 10,000 gallon gasoline storage
tank on Lot 15, Block 139, original; said installation to be under the supervision of
the Engineering Department and in conformity with specifications set out in the code
governing.
Notion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried.
Moved by Alderman Naylor that the Board defer consideration of proposed Ordi-
nance No. 1252 until the regular meeting of April 26, for the purpose of holding a
public hearing on said ordinance.
Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried.
Moved by Alderman Nolf that the Board of Aldermen authorize and order adjust-
ment of property and personal taxes and settlement of same as set out in the following
schedule:

The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
