The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular recessed
session at 4:30 P. M. on the above date in the Council Room in the Memorial Auditor-
ium with the following members present:

J. H. Crouch, City Clerk
The Mayor called for report from the City Manager on bids for pipe and
materials for installation of new water distribution system and replacement to
same.
Bids were reported filed by the United States Pipe & Foundry Co.,
American Cast Iron Pipe Co., National Cast Iron Pipe Co. , Morrison Supply Co. for
Atlas Mineral Products Co. , Leadite Co. and Crane Co. , H. F. Martin for Rensslaer
Valve Co. , and bid by the Stringer Estate to furnish approximately 2200 feet of 10
inch pipe.
Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Board of Aldermen accept the bids of the
United States Pipe and Foundry Co. as follows:
16" pipe $3.09 per ft.
14" " 2.48
12" " 2.07 " n
10" " 1.57
8" " 1.17
Fittings $102.00 per ton
Morrison Supply Co. for Atlas Mineral Products Co. for Joint compound as follows:
Mineral lead - $166.60 per ton from Dallas

Morrison Supply Co. for Crane Co. for valves, as follows:
14" valves - $145.75
12" " 107.50
10" " 57.75
8" " 35.60
6" " 23.00
and the bid of the Stringer Estate for approximately 2200 feet of 10 inch pipe at a
price of 70g1, on the agreement of the Stringer Estate to apply the entire purchase
of said pipe on tax account due the City of Wichita Falls.
Motion seconded by Alderman Williams and carried.
The h`=ayor excused Alderman Williams from the meeting.

Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board accept the report and recommendations
of the night-of-Tgay Committee with reference to right-of-way through the Country Club
and Brightwell and Havener property for the Holliday Creek channel as per the following
field notes at a consideration of $1,000.00; said settlement to be in lieu of all for-
mer agreements or judgments of whatever nature, and settlement to be made only on re-
leases, etc, approved by the City Attorney.
"A strip of land 70 feet wide out of Blocks 1 and 6, J. A. Scott
Sur. No. 9, Abst. 305, lying 35 feet either side of the following
described center line:
BEGILTIING at the center of bridge on Holliday Road across Holliday
Creek; said center being approximately 105.6 feet North and 18.5
feet ',Test of the S.E. Cor. of Block 1 of J. A. Scott Survey No. 9,
Abst. 305.
THENCE N. 890 20' W. 103.0 feet to the point of curvature of a
200 06' curve to the left;
THENCE with said 200 06' curve to the left, 204.0 feet to point
of 200 0' reverse curve to the right;
THENCE with 200 0' curve to the right, 205.3 feet to point of
tangent;
TF.ENCE North 890 46' 'dest with tangent 179.2 feet to a fence on
:Vest line of said Havener & Brightwell property; said point also
being 36 ft. South of N.E. Cor. of Block 5, Country Club Addition
and containing 1.11 acres, more or less."

Roved by Alderman Bebb that the Board of Aldermen authorize and order payment '
of $104.80 to R. B. Havener in full settlement of a certain contract for the ultimate
purchase of a sewer line installed by her. Havener to certain properties outside the
city limits and settlement to be made only on release of all claims thereto and on the
approval of the City Attorney.
Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried.
Roved by Alderman Wolf that the Board .of Aldermen adjourn.
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
