at 8:30 P. M. on the above date in the Council Room in the Memorial Auditorium with
the following members present:

Moved by Aldeman Babb that the Minutes of February 22 be approved as
read.

ORDINANCE NO. 1250
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPH FIVE OF SECTION FOUR OF ORDINANCE NO.
1075, PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 19TH DAY CF OCTOBER,
A. D., 1931, ENTITLED AN
ORDINANCE TO REGULATE TEE CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION, MAINTENANCE, REPAIR APM REMOVAL
OF ALL BUILDINGS WITHIN ThE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES
FOR VIOLATIONS SO AS TO REQUIRE.PERk.,ITS TO BE PROCURED FOR ALL CONSTRUCTION OR RE-
PAIR WORK ON STRUCTURES WITHIN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, PRESCRIBING FEES FOR SUCH
PERMITS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

final reading and be adopted as read.

Yoved by Alderman Wolf that the Board, under the terms of Ordinance 1248
and on the applications presented, grant Certificates of Public Convenience and
Necessity to the following taxicab companies and operators and allocate to the
several companies the number of cabs to be operated by each as set out in the fol-
lowing schedule:
Four Threes Taxi Cab Co cars
Yellow Cab & Baggage Co. cars
A & A Taxi Co. 4 cars
Saf e-Way Taxi Co. 4 cars
Clifton E. Barnett 2 cars
Hemp's Taxi Co. 4 cars

Moved by Alderman Bebb that the motion of Alderman Wolf be amended to increase the
the number of cabs allocated to the Four Threes Taxi Cab Company and to the Yellow Cab
and Baggage Company to the number of six and five respectively.

A committee representing the Ministerial Alliance of the City requested the
Board of Aldermen to grant them use of the tlemorial Auditorium for a period during the
month of September for the purpose of bringing Gipsy Smith to Wichita Falls for a- series
of meetings.
This request was disCUBsed in the light of the ordinance governing the use or
the Auditorium building, and 14ayor Fitzgerald offered the cooperation of the City in
this matter.

and Houston Bolin the sum of $98,34 on account of freight paid on surplus commodities
distributed through the Federal Commodities office in Wichita Falls.

a deed to a portion of what is known as Kiwanis Park described as follows:
"That portion of Kiwanis ,Park lying east of the Right-of-Way line
of Highway 66".

RESOLUTION
TEXAS: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERYEN OF TIM CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
SECTION 1. That an election is hereby called to ble held on the I -6th day
of April, A. D. 1937, for the purpose of electing three Aldermen for the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas.
SECTION 2. The places for which Aldermen shall be elected are hereby
designated as No. 1. 2 and 3. Said Aldermen shall 'serve the City of Wichita Falls
for the ensuing two years and until their successors are elected and qualified.
SECTION 3. The election shall be held in accordance with the laws of
the S'tate of Texas and ordinances and Charter of the City of Iffichita Falls, made

Denison and Rosewood and north of the Denver Railroad". shall vote at East Side
Presbyterian Church, herein designated as City Voting,Precinat No. 19,
SECTION 4. That copy of this resolution sigaed by the Mayor of said City
and attested by the City Clerk, shall serve as proper notice of said election,
The Mayor is authorized and directed to cause this notice of an election
to be posted at the City Hall and in each election precinct within said City for at
least fifteen full days prior to the date of said election,
SECTION 5. The Mayor is further authorized and directed to cause this
notice of election to be published in some newspaper of general circulation pub-
lished in said City once each week for two consecutive weeks, The date of the
first publication shall be not less than fifteen full days prior to the date of

and are hereby appointed as members of the Board of Censors of Commercialized Amuse-
ments.

Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board accept the bid of Hunter-Hayes Co.
in the total sum of $3,502.00 on a new elevator for the Wichita General,Hospital, one-
half of said amount to be paid by the City.

Moved by Alderman Williams that the Board of Aldermen authorize the City
Clerk to endorse check of the International Harvester Co. , Dallas, in the sum of $37.60i
to the International Harvester Co., Wichita Falls, covering federal tax refund on
automobile equipment due the International Harvester Co,
