The Yayor read the written resignation of Claude Miller, Alderman Place Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen accept the resignation of Alderman Calude Miller effective this date and instruct the City Clerk to write a letter to Mr. Miller expressing regrets of the Board of Aldermen at the necessity of his resignation and thanking him for service rendered while a member of the Council. Lotion seconded'by Alderman Bebb and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Williams, Bebb, Naylor, and Wolf, Nays: None, RESOLUTION 14HEREAS, at a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, held at the regular meeting place in the Lemorial Auditorium Building in said City, on the l5th day of February, A. D. 1937, at which a quorum was present, came on to be considered the returns of the special city election held on February 9, 1937, for the purpose of amending Sections 74 and 75 of the Charter of the City of �illichita Falls, Texas; and, THEREAS, after canvassing the returns of said election, it was found that it was duly and legally held in all respects and that there were cast at said election 1090 votes, and that the vote was as follows, to-wit: For Amendment No. 1 857 Against Amendment No. 1 222 For Amendment No. 2 855 Against Amendment No, 2 222 And it appearing that a majority of all the votes cast at said election were cast for the adoption of said amendments. 7TEIREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE BOARD OF ALT'ETUEN OF TFE CITY OF !1IC-HTTA FALLS, TEXAS: That said amendments of Sections 74 and 75 of the City �;harter of the City of "Ilichita Falls have been duly and legally adopted as a part of said Charter at said election and that said election was in all respects legally held in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter and Ordinances of said City.
