The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session
at 7:30 P.M. on the above date in the Council Room in the 1remorial Auditorium with
the following members present:

Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Minutes of the meeting of January 4 be
approved as read.

A1? ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE SALE OF IP'TOXICATING LIqUORS ?WITHIN THE
CORPORATE LIP,`ITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS BY ANY DEALER WHERE THE PLACE OF
BUSINESS OF ANY SUCH DEALER IS `NITHIN THREE HUNDRED FEET (300) OF ANY CHURCH,
SCHOOL OR OTHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION; THE IiIASURMIENTS TO BE ALONG THE PROPERTY
LINES OF THE STREET FRONTS AND FROP:r FRONT DOOR TO FRONT DOOR, AND IN A DIRECT LINE
ACROSS INTERSECTIONS WHERE THEY OCCUR; PRESCRIBING A PENALTY AND DECLARING AN
EPtiiERGENCY.
Proved by Alder an Naylor that Ordinance No. 1247 be passed on its second
reading.

Nays: None.
The public hearing on taxicab applications set for January 4 was called
by the kayor.
All applicants presented their claims for issuance of certificates of pub-
lice necessity and convenience.
Decision by the Board was deferred.

Moved by Alderman :3ebb that the Board authorize the City P;_anager to correct
the spelling of street names where they appear in error on all city records, including
maps, street signs, etc. , at approximate cost of $100.00.

Moved by Alderman Bebb that the Board of Aldermen establish a price of 200
per sq. ft. to apply for Block 1, aeetion A. Lakeview Cemetery; said section being re-
served for colored persons and sale to be made in one-half lots at the discretion of
the Park Superintendent.

gation and report claim filed by Davenport & Sommerville on behalf of J. A. Archa in
the sum of $6,000.00 for alleged personal injuries.

Yoved by Alderman Wolf that the Board authorize the City Attorney to settle
on behalf of the City the claim of Ivey Johnson for $3,500.00 for the sum of $25.00
with the understanding that the costs in the case are paid by Ivey Johnson.
