The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls not in regular session
at 7:30 P. M. on the above date in the Council Room in the Memorial Auditorium with
the following members presents

The Minutes of the regular meeting of December 28 and recessed meeting
of December 30 were read.
Moved by Alderman Naylor that the Minutes of the regular meeting of
December 28 and recessed meeting of December 30 be approved as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried.
ORDINANCE N0. 1247
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS WITHIN THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF V+ICHITA FALLS BY ANY DEALER WHERE THE PLACE OF
BUSINESS OF ANY SUCH DEALER IS WITHIN THREE HUNDRED FEET (3O0)OF ANY CHURCH,
SCHOOL OR-OTHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION] THE MEASUREMENTS TO BE ALONG THE PROPERTY
LINES OF THE STREET FRONTS AND FROM FRONT DOOR TO FRONT DOOR, AND IN A DIRECT LINE ACROSS
INTERSECTIONS WHERE THEY OCCUR; PRESCRIBING A PENALTY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Moved by Alderman Miller that Ordinance No. 1247 be passed on its first
reading.

hearing applications of taxicab companies and operators to determine the need
for additional cabs and if additional ca rs be deemed necessary to whom said
cabs may be awarded under the terms of the ordinance goveerni.ng.

Moved by Alderman Babb that the Board of Aldermen authorize expenditure
of $488.87 for the installation of replacement and new water mains made necessary
by the routing of Highway 66 over Virginia Street.

Moved by Alderman Miller that the Board of Aldermen order refund of
$15.12 to Marie Blumhoff on Lot 2, Block 14, Floral Heights, said property
established as homestead.
Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and earried•
Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board defer consideration of resolution
passed by the Wichita County Counissioners Court relative the management of the
Wichita General Hospital until such time as a committee to be appointed by the
Mayor shall investigate and report to the Board of Aldermen.

Moved by Alderman Miller that the meeting be adjourned.
