The Board of Aldermen of the City of 17ichita Falls met in regular called
session at 1:15 o'clock P.M. on the above date in the Council Room in the blemorial
Auditorium with the following members present:
Edwin A. Bebb,
Roy Bryan,
Claude Miller,
H. 7. Naylor, Aldermen
J. B. Stokes,
Frank Wolf,
J. Bryan Yiller, City I'anager
J. H. Crouch, City Clerk
To A. Hicks, City Attorney
In the absence of Mayor W. E. Fitzgerald, the meeting was called to order
by Alderman Miller.
,Moved by Alderman Miller that Alderman Bryan be appointed Mayor Protem
in the absence of Mayor Fitzgerald.
Kotion seconded by Alderman Bebb and carried.
Mayor Protem Bryan called the order of business.
Moved by Alderman Wolf that the following Resolution be adopted.
Motion seconded by Alderman Miller and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Wolf, Miller, Bebb Naylor and Stokes.
Nays: None.
RESOLUTION
11,HEREASS a petition has been filed by the merchants of the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, requesting the Board of Aldermen to suspend the operation of parking
meters as of this date and continue to and including Tanuary 3, A. Do 1937, provid-
ing that said suspension shall in no wise effect the contract or the ordinance pro-
viding for the operation of same.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY ME BOARD OF ALDERIMN in special called
session:
THAT Park-Rite Corporation of Houston 9 Texas, be and are hereby requested
to grant the City of Wichita Falls the right to suspend the operation of parking
meters in Wichita Falls 9 Texas, from this date to and including January 3, A. Do
1937.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the acceptance of this resolution on the
part of the Park-Rite Corporation and the placing of the same in operation by the
Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls shall in no wise alter or change
contract between the Park-Rite Corporation and the City of 14ichita Fans for the
ninety day trial period set forth in said contract, save and except the discontinu-
ance of trial of said meters as herein provided.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE BOARD CF ALIEF&EN TRAT beginning January 4.
A. D. 1937, said parking meters shall again be placed in full operation and continued
for a period of ninety days from date thereof according to terms Of said contract be-
tween the Park-Rite Corporation and the City of W ichita Falls.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager and City Attorney are hereby
fully empowered to do any and all things necessary to place this Resolution in full
force and effect and to execute such agreements as may be required by the Park-Rite
Corporation,
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Board of Aldermen in special session this 8th day
of December 1936,
Yoved by Alderman Miller that the meeting be adjourned.
Yotion -seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
READ AND APPROVED this 14th day of December 1936.
