Min 11/30/1936 485 ',Alichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building Yovember 30, 1936 The Board of Aldermen of the city of Wichita Falls met in regular session at 7:30 P. Y. on the above date in the Council Room in the Memorial Auditorium with the following members present: 11. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor Claude Miller, I H. J. Naylor, Aldermen J. B. Stokes, .T. Bryan Miller, City Manager J. H. Crouch, City Clerk T. A. Hicks, City Attorney The Yinutes of the meeting of November 23 were read. Moved by Alderman Miller that the Minutes of the meeting of November 23 be approved as read. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried. The Board of Aldermen heard continued discussions about ordinance proposed to govern, regulate and license produce dealers, produce truckers, etc. No action was taken. Moved by Aldeman Naylor that Ordinance No. 1244 be passed on its second reading. Motion seconded by Alderman Stokes and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Naylor, Stokes, and Miller. Nays: None. 49b Moved by Alderman Miller that the Board of Aldermen grant the issuance of permit to E. M. McGrath for an additional gasoline pump to be located at 707 Lamar Street, said pump to be in line with pumps previously installed at 707 Lamar and in accordance with specifications of the City Engineer; it being understood that said pump will be removed at the discretion of the Board of Aldermen or the City Engineer. Motion seconded by Alderman Stokes and carried. Moved by Alderman Naylor that the Board of Aldermen authorize and order pay- ment of $236.50 to T. T. Perkins for certain strip of land used for Right-of-Way pur- poses for Highway No. 5 on North Scott Street. Yotion seconded by Alderman Stokes and carried. Moved by Alderman Yiller that the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls authorize the execution for and on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls of that certain '�Ilorks Progress Administration Project Proposal, Sponsor's Proposal No. 5-36, and being a project to improve certain streets, alleys and sidewalks by surfacing with gravel, and, further, that W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor of the City of Wichita Falls, be authorized to execute such project proposal as the Sponsor's Agent, and that J. Bryan Miller, City Manager, be authorized to execute such project proposal as the fiscal officer of said City. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried. Moved by Alderman Miller that the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls do hereby allocate and set aside to that certain project described in Works Pro- gress Administration Project Proposal, Sponsor's Proposal No. 5-36, and entitled To im- prove certain streets, alleys and sidewalks by surfacing with gravel, all those certain funds, materials and equipment as set in such project proposal, as the Sponsor's con- tribution, and being in the total amount of $11,129.55, and that such funds allocated from and constitute a charge against the Street Fund of said City. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried. Moved by Alderman Miller that the Board of Aldermen order payment of warrant interest coupons No. 46 and 47 of Warrant No. ig due November 1. 1937. Motion seconded by Alderman Stokes and carried. Moved by Alderman Miller that the Board of Aldermen order the issuance of a permit for the erection and operation of a wholesale and retail station for the storage and sale of gasoline lubricating oil and other products commonly sold through such stations, said station to be located on parcel of ground described in the application of the Ohio Oil Company dated November 2 1936, upon condition that the said Ohio Oil Company shall meet and fulfill all the requirements of the fire marshal and all the specifications and provisions of the building code; it being understood that storage tanks may be either above or below ground. Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carried. 487 Loved by Alderman Miller that the Board of Aldermen accept terms of pro- posed lease by letter of agreement dated November 24, 1936, on the United States Government building known as the old Post Office in 71ichita Falls, and authorize the City Manager to sign agreement on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls. lv'�otion seconded by Alderman Stokes and carried.
