The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session
at 7:30 P. M. on the above date in the Council Room in the Memorial Auditorium with
the following members present:

Moved by Alderman Wolf that t he request of T. B. Stark, . representing the
Texas Company, for permission to 'install signs at stations in the 700 and 800 blocks
on Lamar Street; said signs to be situated in the parkway between the street curb
and �proper ine, and installations to be subject to approval of the city engineer.

Moved by Alderman Miller that the Board of Aldermen hereby order the re-
lease of monies deposited in escrow in the City National Bank for the purpose of
purchasing Right-of-Way for Highway No. 66, as per the following schedule 60 condi-

RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION BY THE BOARD OF ALDERFEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FATLS, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CHANGE OF SECTION' 2 OF A CONTRACT DATED THE 15TH DAY OF OCTOBER,
A. D.9 19360 BETIAIMN THE CITY OF WICHITA FAILS, TEXAS, AND W. A. SIMONTON, H. FRED
i HAGEMAN, JR. , AND JOHN A. NORMAN, AS 12YBERS OF THE BONIHOLrERS PROTECTIVE COM-
MITTEE BY ADDING TO SAID PARAGRAPH THE FOLLOWING, PROVIDED THAT IF THE CITY CANNOT
LEGALLY ISSUE SUCH SECURITIES THE CITY MIL PAY CASH IN LIEU OF SUCH SECURITIES.
NOW, THEREFORE:
Whereas, some question has been raised as to whether or not the City of
lichita Falls can under the authority of its charter issue securities as provided
in Section II of the contract just above referred to, and,
Whereas, said Board of Aldermen have been requested to clarify Section II
of said contract in order to remove any question as to the legality of same.
NO1,17, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERM OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
THAT ,said paragraph II of the above mentioned contract be rewritten so as
to read as follows and that the same be embodied in and become paragraph II of said
I contract as follows:
The City agrees with the Committee that for their services in connection
with the refunding plan it will pay the Committee Twelve Thousand ($12,000.00)
Dollars, cash, -upon consuanation of the plan by the exchange of not less than seventy
five (75%b) per cent of the bonds, and in addition securities of the City satisfactory
to the Committee and payable one (1) year thereafter, without interest in an amount
such that the amount of such securities added to the $12,000.00 equals Eight ($8.00)
Dollars per $1,000.00 par va;ue of bonds exchanged; and thereafter as additional
bonds are exchanged the City shall deliver to the Committee additional securities to
an amount equal to $8.00 per $1,000.00 bond exchanged, but not exceeding a total of
1 $12,000.00 of securities, provided that if the City cannot legally issue such
securities the City will pay cash in lieu of such securities.
The aforesaid payments provided in this section shall be the only payments
to be received by the Committee from the City for the Committee's expenses and ser-
vices and assistance in connection with the refunding plan.

ger the installation of wire mesh or reinforced wire mesh safety guards in the win-
dows overlooking the main entrance to the Auditorium Building.

mains to the Wichita Falls Junior College property upon the execution of contract be-
tween the Wichita Falls JTunior College and the City of Wichita Falls; said contract to
be approved by the City Attorney and further authorize the Mayor to execute said con-
tract on behalf of the City.
