M. on the above date in the Council Room in the Memorial Auditorium with the following members present: W, E. Fitzgerald, Mayor Roy Bryan, Edwin A. Bobbi Claude Miller, Aldermen 1. B. Stokes, J. Hicks, City Attorney 4'A t4 The Minutes of the regular meeting of were read end approved, Moved by Aldeman Bryan that the Council allow aW authorize payment of $256,82 to Fulcher Armstrong in paysent of sums advancei for material on W,,P.A, projects. Motion seconded by Alderman Bebb and carried. Moved by Alderman Bryan that the Council recomnend enforcement of traffic ro'gulations relative to parking on Ohio Avenue between Seventh and Finth Streets. motion seconded by Alderman 'Bebb end carried* The Council board complaints of citizers against the present method of operation of beer establishments in the residential sections of the City. A committee from the Optimist Club requested the Council to give con- sideration to the damming of Wichita River under WPA Project Noo 12-164 and propose to assist in'financing such project by underwriting protion of the funds necessary for the completion of said project. Moved by Alderman Bryan that the request of the Optimist Club relative to WPA Project 12-164 be referred to the City Manager for Investigation and report to the Council* Motion seconded by Alderman Bebb and carried. 424 Moved by Alderman Miller that the Board of Aldermen set the regular meeting of the Board on September 28, 1936, for the public hearing on the proposed budget for the fiscal year October 1, .�1936, to September 30, 1937, Motion seconded by Alderman Bryan and carried, Moved by Alderman Bryan that the Board refer to the City Attormy all requests for refunds on Produce Licenses paid under Ordinance No. 1079. Motion seconded by Alderman Babb and carried. Moved by Alderman Miller that the Council authorize and order payment of Bill of Costs for $30.60 in Case No. 29526, McGaughey vs City of Wichita Falls. Motion seconded by Alderman Stokes and carried. Motion seconded by Alderman Stokes and carried, Moved by Alderman Bryan that the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls authorize the execution for and on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls for that certain Works Progress Administration Project Proposal, Sponsor's Proposal No., 1-36 and being a project to increase the capacity of the trunk mains of the water distribution system in the residential district, end, further, that W, E. Fitzgerald, Mayor of the City of ',Ilichita Falls, be authorized to execute such project proposal as the Sponsor's Agent, and that J. Bryan Miller, City Manager, be authorized to execute such project proposal as the fiscal officer of said City. Motion seconded by Alderman Babb and carried* Moved by Alderman Bryan that the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls do hereby allocate and set aside to that certain project described in Works Progress Administration Project Proposal, Sponsor's Proposal No. 1-36, and entitled project to increase the capacity of the trunk mains of the water dis- tribution system in the residendial district, all those certain funds, materials and equipment as set in such project proposal, as the Sponsor's contribution, and being in the total amount of $47,953.00, and that such funds allocated from and constitute a charge against the Water Fund of said City. Moved by Alderman Bryan that the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls authorize the execution for and on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls for that certain Works Progress Administration Project Proposal, Sponsor's Proposal No. 2-36, and being a project to increase the water supply mains to the business district and industrial sections and, further, that W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor of the City of Wichita Falls, be atthorized to execute such project proposal as the Sponsor's Agent, and that T. Bryan Miller, City Manager, be authorized to execute such project proposal as the fiscal officer of said City. Motion seconded by Alderman Babb and carried. Bryan Yiller, City Manager, be authorized to execute such project proposal as the fiscal officer of said City. Motion seconded by Alderman Babb and carried. LII,oved by Alderman Bryan that the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls do hereby allocate and set aside to that certain project described in Works Pro- gress Administration Project Proposal, Sponsor's Proposal No, 3-36, and entitled project to clean certain water mains in the distribution system, all those certain funds, materials and equipment as set in such project proposal, as the Sponsorts contribution, and being in the total amount, of $6,948.00, and that such funds allocated from and constitute a charge against the lVater Fund of said City.
