The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session
at 7: 30 P.M. on the above date in the Council Room in the Memorial Auditorium
with the following members present:
W. E. Fitzgerald, Mayor
Edwin Bebb
Roy A. Bryan

H. J, Naylor
J, B. Stokes

J. Bryan Miller, City Manager
J. H. Crouch City Clerk
T. A. Hicks, City Attorney
The Minutes of the regular meeting of July 13 were read and approved.
The council heard Walter Nelson Jr., Attorney, on behalf of Wo A. Simonton
requesting and demanding that the City satisfy certain decree and judgment in favor of
W. Ao Simton and others and making certain other demandso This written request was
accepted and ordered filed.
The public hearing, set and advertised for July 20, was heard by the Board of
Aldermen. The chairman of the Public Relations Committee from the Chamber of Commerce
discussed the budget proposed, and filed general recommendations. The City Manager
diseuvsed at some length provisions of the budget proposedo

Moved by Alderman Bryan that Oridnance 1235 be passed on a second readingo
Yotion s�conded by Alderman Bebb and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Bebb, Bryan, Miller, Naylor, Stokes, and Wolf.
Nays: Nonle
Moved by Alderman killer that the City Manager be authorized to sell and
dispose of a certain Underwood Statement Machine of the Tax office equipmento
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carriedo
Moved by Alderman Bryan that the City Manager be requested to negotiate
with the State Highway Department requesting their allowance of parallel parking on
Highways passing over Scott Avenue.
Motion seconded by Alderman Naylor and carriedo
Moved by Alderman Bryan that the Board of Aldermen approve and order tax refund
of of $ 3.50 to Mrs. Emma Ashabranner bn Lot E, Block 245 Original Townsite and refund
of $5.39 to R. E. Basham, Lot 1 Block 61, Floral Heights, and, on approval of the

City Attorney, tax refund of $20.03 to Oral Staples.
Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried.
Moved by Alderman Wolf that the Board of Aldermen authorize and order the ad-
justments of personal taxes per the schedule following and approve method of payment
as set out in said sehed le.
