Moved by Alderman Bryan that the Board of Aldermen specificly authorize Right-of- the issuance of any warrants necessary in payment for the completion of Way for Highway No. 66 over Virginia Street; said payrBnt to be deposited in escrow with deeds pending the final acceptance of said Right-of-Tillay. Motion seconded by Alderman Wolf and carried. Moved by Alderman Babb that the Board of Aldermen authorize and order the sum of $75.00 per month be included in the annual budget for the year 1936-37 for the period from July 1, 1936, to April 1, 1937, for the support of the Texas State Employment Service, Yotion seconded by Alderman Miller and carried. Jones, representing citizens in the 1800 block on Collins , requested the City Council to install a more permanent topping on the street at 1827 Collins, Moved by Alderman Bebb that this matter be referred to the City Menager with the recomnendation that this street improvement be iade9 if possible, with the co- operation of the property owners, Motion seconded by Alderman Bryan and carried, R. R. Tones, representing residents and property owners on Walnut and Virginia Streets, presented a petition to the City Council requesting a certain traffic relief be granted to this section of the City. Moved by Alderman Miller that the petition be referred to the City Manager for immediate investigation. Motion seconded by Alderman Bryan and carried. Moved by Alderman Babb that the City Manager be authorized to sign a contract with the General Chemical Company for the supp�y of chemicals for th e Wat er Department. Motion seconded by Alderman Miller and carried. Moved by Alderman Miller that the Board of Aldermen authorize and offer a reward of $10,00 for information leading to the arrest and final con- viction of any person or persons removing or damaging any city street lights; said reward to be paid only when judgment is final* Motion seconded by Alderman Bryan and carried. And, Whereas, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, has heretofore, filed with the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works, application No. 1501* for a grant and loan for the purpose of improving Wichita Falls Waterworks, and Whereas, the Board of Aldermen desire to change said application from a loan and grant to one of grant only. NOW, 7HEREFORE 31 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMN OF CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: That Julian Montgomery, State Director of Public Works Administration be and he is hereby requested to change application No. 1501 from one of loan and grant to grant only.
