Min 06/22/1936 Tichita Falls, Texas biemorial Auditorium Building June 229 1936 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session at 7:30 p. y. on the above date in the Council Room in the Memorial Auditorium with the following members present: Edwin A. Bids for ambulance service by resident undertaking firms for the city covering period of one year from date were opened. Moved by Alderman Bryan that the Board of Aldermen award contract for ambulance service to Merkle Undertaking Company for a period of one year from date on their bid of 75V per call. Fitzgerald, Mayor of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, be and he is hereby authorized to execute a Bill of Sale when prepared and presented to him by the City Attorney conveying that certain four room house located at 710 North Scott Street in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, to Jack Green for a cash consideration of Fifty and No/100 ( 50.00) Dollars. Moved by Alderman TpTolf that the Board of Aldennen, at the request of the gichita Falls Insurance Exchange, designate the said Insurance Exchange the agency through which all of the Cityfs insurance business shall be written and direct that the said exchange shall make distribution of premiums and commissions among the members of the exchange only and void and repeal all other orders heretofore made by the Board of Aldermen relative to the City's Insurance. Nays: None. i RESOLUTION i 0 Ar?D ",TTEREAS, on the 17th day of November, A.D. 1932, in the 78th District I Court of rJichita County, Texas, W. g„ Lewis recovered judgment against the City of Wichita Falls in the sum of Twenty Five Hundred ($2,500.00) Dollars, together with the I costs of suit and interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) and, i 1TEREAS, there is due on said judgment the sum of Three Thousand Twenty-Five and No/100 (P.1 ,025.00) Dollars and cost, and i ',ITEREAS, said cause is now pending in the Supreme Court on writ of error and will likely be passed upon in the near future, and '.TTEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Attomey that said judgment will be affirmed against the City of wichita Falls thereby placing the cost of same at approxi- mately Three Thousand Two Hundred ($3,2.00.00) Dollars. And be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to pay the said T. M. Lewis the sum of Fifteen Hundred Twelve and 50/100 ($1,512.50) Dollars in full settlement of said judgment on being presented with the proper release of the same which has been approved by the City Attorney.
