ORDINANCE NO. 1227 AN ORDINANCE FAKING ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OUT OF THE UNAPPROPRIATED B.ALANC AT THE BEGINNING OF THE FISCAL YEAR FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE CITY GOVEMIENT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING APRIL 1, 1935, AND ENDING MARCH 31, 1936. Moved by Alderman Miller that Ordinance No. 1227 be passed on its third and final reading and be adopted as read. Motion seconded by Alderman Walker and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Miller, Walker, Stokes, Stampfli, and Taylor. Nays: None. Moved by Alderman Walker that the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby authorize and approve the conveyance of 19.7 acres, more or less, as evidenced and described by deed of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and signed by its Mayor, dated March 30, 1936; for and in consideration of deed to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, conveying to said City 19.7 acres, more or less, to be signed and executed by the J. A. Kemp Estate. Both tracts being a part of the Lewis Wells Survey, Abstract No. 323, Wichita County, Texas. Motion seconded by Alderman Miller and carried. Moved by Aldermen Walker that the Board of Aldermen authorize and instruct settlement of a judgment in favor of C. H. Phillips in the amount of $4,464.00. Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Walker, Stampfli, Stokes, Taylor, and Miller. Nays: None. 350 Upon the request of J. R. Ogle, it was moved by Aldeman Talker that the Board of Aldermen authorize and appoint supervisors to serve in the city election on April 7, 1936. Yotion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried. Noved by Alderman Walker that the Board of Aldermen authorize the Northern Texas Utilities Company to make meter changes during the period April 1 to July 19 1936, and further authorize and instruct the proper departments to issue permits fur such meter changes without charge. Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried. Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen authorize and instruct reduction of the valuations on city property as per the following schedule and further authorize the payment of all taxes due the City of wichita Falls, both current and delinquent, without penalty or interest to and including April 10, 1936. Motion seconded by Alderman Miller and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Miller, Stampfli, Taylor, Walker, and Stokes. ORDINANCE NO. 1213 AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR AND AUTHORIZE THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF BONDS BY THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, IN THE COUNTY OF 17ICHITA AND STATE OF TEXAS, IN THE SUN OF $195001000.000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING AND BUILDING A NATURAL GAS SYSTEM FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF NATURAL GAS TO AND DISTRIBUTION AND SALE OF NATURAL GAS :NITHIN THE SAID CITY OF TICHITA F ALLS, TEXAS, AND PRESCRIBING THE FORM OF SAID NATURAL GAS SYSTEM BONDS AND PROVIDING FOR THE PAY112I NT OF THE PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST THEREOF, AND PROVIDING ALSO THAT SAID BONDS SHALL BE SECURED BY A MORTGAGE AND/OR DEED OF TRUST UPON SAID NATURAL GAS SYSTEM, AND SO InTCH OF THE ANNUAL INCOME THEREFROM AS IS NECESSARY TO PAY THE INTEREST ON SAID BONDS AND RETIRE THEM AS THEY MATURE, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUCH MORTGAGE AND/OR DEED OF TRUST AND PRESCRIBING THE FORM THEREOF, AND PROVIDING THAT AS ADDIIONAL SECURITY FOR SAID BONDS BY ME TERMS OF SUCH MORTGAGE, THAT ANY PURCHASER OF SAID NATURAL GAS SYSTER AT A FORECLOSURE SALE IN PURSUANCE OF A MORTGAGE OR DEED OF TRUST, SHALL HAVE A FRANCHISE TO OPERATE THE NATURAL GAS SYSTEM AND ITS PROPERTIES SO PURCHASED AT ANY FORECLOSURE SALE FOR A TERM OF NOT OVER 7ffENTY YEARS, AS PRO- VIDED, AFTER PURCHASE, SUBJECT TO ALL LA17S REGULATING THE SAME THEN IN FORCE, AND PRESCRIBING THE FORM OF SAID FRANCHISE; AND FURTHER PROVIDING THAT SAID BONDS CONSTITUTING THE OBLIGATION FOR AND ISSUED IN PANT OF THE PURCHASE MONEY FOR SUCH NATURAL GAS SYSTEM SHALL NEVER BE A DEBT OF THE CITY OF TICHITA FAILS, TEXAS, BUT SOLELY A CHARGE UPON THE PROPERTIES OF THE NATURAL GAS SYSTEM SO MORTGAGED ADN THE ING013 THEREFROM.
