Min 01/27/1936 .......... Wichita Falls, Texas Lemorial Auditorium Building January 27, 1936 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date at 7:30 P. M. in the Council Room in the Ylemorial Auditorium with the following members present: John T. Young, Mayor J. B, Stokes, Mack Taylor, V. E. Stampflit Aldermen Mark D. Walker, Claude Miller, Lack Thomas, City lanager H. Crouch, City Clerk Thelbert Martin, Acting City Attorney The Minutes of the meeting of January 20 were read and approved. Moved by Alderman Miller that the Board of Aldermen authorize the C�ty Treasurer to pay the sum of "1.34 to J. A. Richolt Estate, said sum to be applied on said Estate's taxes now due, as per agreement on file with the City. Motion seconded by Alderman Miller and carried. Moved by Alderman Walker that the Gulf Refining Company be granted a special permit to install a gasoline pump between the sidewalk and the curb line at 1600 Harrison Street, known as Tillman Grocery, with the understanding that said pump will be removed at the discretion of the Board of Aldermen or City Engineer. Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carriedo Moved by Alderman Taylor that the City Treasurer be instructed to issue and pay as soon as possible regular payroll due January 31 in order that all city employees may have an opportunity to secure poll taxes. Motion seconded by Alderman Stokes and carried. ORDINANCE NO. 1222 AN ORDINANCE MAKING ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OUT OF THE UNAPPROPRIATED BALaTCE AT THEE BEGINNING OF THE FISCAL YEAR FOR TEE SUPPORT OF THE CITY GOVERMTNT FOR TBE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING APRIL 19 19350 AND ENDING YARCH 31, 1936, Yov�d by Alderman Walker that Ordinance No. 1222 be passed on its first readingo Motion seconded by Alderman Miller and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Walker, killer, Stokes, Taylor and Stampfli. Nays: Noneo 316 The report of the comikittee composed of Acting City Attorney Thelbert Martin and Alderman V. E, Stampfli on progress made in securing Right-of-Way for Highway No. 66 over the route known as Virginia Street route was read in full* This report was discussed at some length and final action deferred* Moved by Alderman Stokes that the meeting be adjourned, Motion seconded by Alderman Walkerand carried* The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
