Memorial Auditorium Building
August 26, 1935
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session
at 7:30 P.M. on the above date in the Council Room in the Lemorial Auditorium with
the following members present:
John T. Young, layor
J. B. Stokes,
L. C. Rodgers,
V. E. Stempfli, Aldermen
Lark D. 'Walker,
Claude Liller,
J. H. Crouch, City Ulerk
E. George, City Attorney
The Linutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
I-oved by Alderman Rodgers that R. Hyer, Tax Collector, be authorized and
instructed to accept the sum of $149*80 in full payment of city taxes assessed against
Geo. T. Taylor on Lots 8 to 14, Block 1, Kemp Subdivision, for the years 1930, 1931,
1932, 1933, and 1934, and personal assessments for the years 1933 and 1934; and to
accept the sum of $52.00 in full payment of personal city taxes assessed against
Fred Ebner for the year 19-33,

Moved by Alderman Rodgers that the Board of Aldermen authorize signature of
Miss Pearl Goldstucker, Acting City kanager, as Fiscal Agent on TAI.PA. application in
the sum of �435.00 'on a project entitled "Project to furnish an assistant to City
Librarian.
Motion seconded by Alderman Miller and carried,
Attorney for C. A, Fuhs filed a formal claim with the Council fbr damages in
the total sum of $490.00.
Moved by Alderman Walker that the Board of Aldermen appoint Alderman h-iller,
City Attorney George and City Engineer Rugeley to investigate the claim of C. A. Fuhs
and return recommendations to the Council on this matter*
Lotion seconded by Alderman Rodgers and carried,
Moved by Alderman Miller that the City Engineer be instructed to prepare
estimates and file application with the 'Vorks Progress Administration for project to
install the necessary curbs, sidewalks,, and paving repairs on the 2100 Block on Roberts
Avenue with the payment for all material to be made to the City of Wichita Falls by Eli
Morgan, 11, E. Riley, T. E, Wright, K. M. Drollinger, and 0. C. Hill.
Motion seconded by Alderman Walker and carried.
Moved by Alderman Miller that the City Attorney be instructed to ascertain
additional costs of necessary engineers end auditors for the prosecution of the Muni-
cipal Gas Company case in Travis County District Court.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stokes and carried*
Moved by Alderman Walker that the Board of Aldermen adopt what is known as th California
California Street route and authorize completion of Right-of-Way over said route for
Highway No. 66.
Votion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen I.valker, 3tampfli, Stokes, and Rodgers.
Nays: Alderman Miller,
Aldermen Stampfli and Walker recommended to the Council the granting of a
special electrical permit to Miks Feed Store.
Moved by Alderman Walker that the Board of Aldermen authorize the issuance
of a special electrical permit to the Mika Feed Store.
Motion seconded by Alderman Starrpfli and carried,
Moved by Alderman Rodgers that the Board of Aldermen grant the Lamar Baptist
Church building permit in the sum of $15,000.00 without cost and authorize refund of
$10,00 previously deposited by Fred L. Cone on this permit,
Motion seconded by Alderman Miller and carried,
Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stokes and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
